New music

So, I don't really listen to the radio much anymore, and music channels have all gone downhill, so I don't get many chances to hear new music... and this makes me sad :(<br><br>I like rock/metal in most all it's incarnations, but I'm pretty open to most things, country and rap, (I will sometimes make exceptions for music that is rap-rock) and annoying boyband-esque stuff pretty much being the things I won't listen to. I also really like happy sounding music with messed up meanings... examples being songs like Pumped Up Kicks by Foster The People and Possum Kingdom by The Toadies, or Wraith Pinned to the Mist and Other Games by of Montreal(the songs meaning isn't so messed up as is the video, which I can't help but think about when I hear it)<br><br>I like too many bands to list, so I'm not really going to bother. I think there's still a partial list in a topic on music by Rock_N_Roll_Queen90, if you need a bit more direction. Any suggestions are much appreciated :)

    Pumped Up Kicks has to honestly be my favorite song, and that hasn't changed in a while. Kudos ^.^<br><br>And I'd recommend Pandora for new music. Just type in a song or artist you already like, and they'll make a whole radio station for you with similar stuff. I get all my new music that way(:

    Hubby used to use that, but I suppose my biggest problem is that I'm not really looking for things that are that all that similar to things I'm listening to right now. When hubby used it it just played music by bands I was already pretty familiar with, and I'm kinda looking for less mainstream music. Maybe it's changed though, haven't been on there in years XD. I'll have to check it out.

    I use a website called last.fm for getting new music, you have a profile, put ALL the bands you like into your profile by typing them in search and click like, and then they also do a radio station, but when I first did it, and even when I do now, I found loads of good bands that i'd never heard of before
