Monster Wild Fire

I don't know how much they are talking about the Pagami Creek Fire on national news.<br>This fire is insane.<br><br>When it started it was just 300 acres or so. A run of the mill wild fire for these parts.<br>But then it exploded. In the past few days it has jumped to 11,000 acres to 30,000 acres to 60,000 acres to 100,000+ acres now. <br>This fire is in the BWCAW (Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness) in Northern Minnesota. <br>I was in Isabella MN on Sunday when the fire was at about 6,000 acres and about 15 miles north of Isabella, now they are evacuating Isabella, the fire not even miles away.<br>Fire crews from all over the country are coming to help us. <br>I live about 20 miles from where the fire is now. I am in no danger of being evacuated (wind patterns and topography) but there are alot of people in this fire's path now that it has left the wilderness.<br>I work less than 4 miles from the north end of the fire at a wilderness lodge. we were nearly evacuated on Saturday because of severe smoke (you couldnt see your hand in front of you face). <br>I'm just writing so more people know about this.<br><br>All I can say is hope for rain, we are in severe drought here. Think very high humidity wet thoughts. We need rain!<br>No one has gotten hurt yet.
