UPDATES IN RECENT POSTS! :]

Today we drove about an hour and twenty minutes to pick up my new Chihuahua puppy. On the way back, he threw up twice and has had nonstop drool coming from his mouth. I'm hoping it's just from being nervous and he's not overly sick or anything... He's so scared and nervous that he won't drink water and he's shaking (even though that's normal for Chihuahuas). Any advice on how to handle him? We've made sure there's minimum excitement going on around him so that he's not too severly stressed. I've never had such a small, scared puppy before. He's cream and white, long haired. He. Is. The. Cutest. Thing. You're so damn lucky. But, the same thing happened when I went with a cousin to pick up her Chinese Crested puppy. Just let him sleep a little and relax, make sure he has access to water and the potty, and he should be more calm in a bit. I'm a little concerned about the drooling though /:

Thanks, I'm pretty proud and happy! (: The drooling doesn't seem normal to me but I'm going to look it up and maybe try calling the vet to ask. My friend recently got a Chi from the same litter so I'm going to ask her if hers did it too. He's sleeping right now but he keeps waking up due to noises and his nervousness.

Dogs drool a lot when they're nervous or frightened, or if they're about to puke. Just be quiet, don't bug him too much, and let him relax. xD

Kaz: That's what I thought! Thank you, Kaz. He's all better now. He slept for about a half hour and woke up feeling much better because his tail was wagging and he wanted to play. I tried taking him out to potty twice but all he did was chase my heels and lick water off the grass... I brought him inside and he's sleeping again so I'll just wait to try to take him out a third time. xD Tuff: Thank you! I was attracted to his colors even though his brother had much more color on him. And I was just drawn to Czar from the very beginning when I saw a photo of him on the breeder's website.

Thanks everyone! He really is a great little guy so far. My mom took him to work while I was at school for the first day and he slept the whole time. He's totally comfortable at home, eating, drinking, and pottying now. It's just the vehicle that he doesn't like but he didn't throw up in it today and he's not as scared if I'm holding him. I love him!

Thanks, pumpkin. I know I sure enjoy him! (: I've taught him 'sit,' 'lie down,' and 'bow.' We're working on 'paw' but he has a really short attention span (he's only 12 weeks so that's normal I guess xD). I honestly think it's going to be hard to get him to do tricks/commands from far or for basic reasons (such as telling him to lie down or sit when he's being too fidgety). I've been really weary about him meeting other dogs because he hasn't gotten his last 12 week shots yet (he's due for them today) and I'm really afraid that he could get parvo or something. On the other hand, I don't want him to become antisocial with other dogs or develop issues...

Lol, made me laugh too, and now again from you finding humor in it. I swear I should have a side job of coming up with captions for things. I always do stuff like that when I see certain pics either on VP or elsewhere. He's really cute though. I personally don't like them because of how yippy they get and whatnot, but I'm sure he's sweet

And it's amazing you've got that many tricks down at such a young age. I'd assume with all the energy and lack of attention span it'd be much harder to get one through to him.

Chis can most definitely be yippy! He's already got a lot of attitude but we're preventing and discplining from the beginning, which is the best you can do for the breed. Thank you! I was pretty set on him from the minute I saw his picture on the breeder's website. (: Then when I got there and met him and his brother, I didn't want anything to do with his brother even though he had more markings & variety of color. And the other litter had beautiful markings and colors (blacks and whites, browns and whites, agouti and whites, somewhere around those lines) and I picked up Czar and said, "I'll take this one." One of my friends got his brother, the runt, and he's a gorgeous tri-color but I wouldn't trade Czar for anything!

He's really obedient and so far I've raised him right. xD He's a real people-pleaser and very much dislikes getting into trouble (he sulks or tries to climb in my lap, which I don't allow xD). He basically has the tricks he's been taught so far mastered and does them almost always when you command him to. Should have some new pictures of him outside soon if the weather gets better!

I've always been a big dog kinda person too but i absolutely LOVE my chihuahua. i wouldn't trade her for anything in the world lol
