I guess I've totally derailed this thread but... RE = American Bully. The dogs in the links you posted are American Bullies. These are UKC style American Pit Bull Terriers. <a href="http://www.matrixkennels.com/"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">http://www.matrixkennels.com/</a> These are ADBA style American Pit Bull Terriers. <a href="http://www.blaizenkennels.com/"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">http://www.blaizenkennels.com/</a> Neither look like the dogs you posted. I know most American Bullies are registered as APBTs but papers can be faked or lied about. I can say that this dog sired my litter but actually that dog sired the litter. It's not hard to do. The UKC changed their APBT standard in 2009 to exclude bullier dogs. That doesn't mean that they took papers away from the bully dogs that were already registered. Therefore, all these future litters can still be registered as APBTs. That doesn't mean they'll do well in conformation shows. I'm not saying your dog or his/her lines are bad but they are not APBTs. Decended from them maybe.

I agree with Zag the dogs you posted are bullies to me, Pits are so not that heavy, and even the built up ones I'v met, they don't even get to look like a bully with muscle, the face is different too, the bullys you posted the face looks more staffy than pitbull to me.

In all honesty. We will never know if Either Zag OR Cherokeez are right unless we can somehow go back in time and PERSONALLY watch EVERY dog that was ever bred to get these particular dogs. On one hand, You can say they aren't APBT and think you are right. But what proof do you have other than the way they.. look? On the other, You can say they ARE ABPT and think you are right. But again, what proof do you have than, they look like what you think an APBT should look like? We do not and will never fully know if they are APBT or not without going back to EVERY single breeding ever done of that particular breed to get the resulting puppies we have today. Other than having a DNA test done, but that just links you to that dogs parents, then those dogs parents, etc, etc. Unless they have found a way to match SPECIFIC breeds mixed into one dog. We will NEVER know for sure what breed it is. Yes they LOOK like American Bullies, but how do you know they are 100% American Bullies? We don't. So before disagreeing (not saying you are

Everyone has a different opinion on what a breed should look like =( To me, maybe my short haired Chihuahua should be what they all look like, and to someone else, their long hair chi should be what they all look like.. It's just a difference in opinion on what an APBT should look like and what it should not and everyone is entitled to their own opinion

Maybe everyone should have their opinion but I'd like to see a UKC or ADBA judge examine those dogs... You might find the odd one who would place an extremely overdone dog but most would laugh. I'm not trying to be mean or start a fight. I'm just trying to educate. I love my breed and most people these days don't actually know what a real pit bull looks like. If you ask most people on the street they'll say big, short, and blue. But if you read the standard they are supposed to be tall and leggy, lean, and athletic.

lots of people have been raised to think of the short stocky breed as a pit bull so they would be hard to convene otherwise xD haha

The most difficult thing about these breeds are getting people to call their dogs something they don't want to. They say they want to get away from the stigma of the name with all the dog aggression and BSL attached but they still want to call them pit bulls. The Razors Edge family started out as show bred APBTs but they quickly transformed. They started calling them American Bullies and several other families formed the American Bully Kennel Club and later on the ABBA.

There is no specific reason why any of those are not. They are just bred to look different. All dogs started out looking one way and now look way different so it really doesn't matter. THere are short stocky pits and lean athletic pits. All in all it should not matter what they look like. A dog is a dog and as long as someone loves it what does it matter? Please do not continue to down other's animals on my thread as it is for me. I love all dogs no matter what so if you have nothing nice to say then please pm the player.

I'll say again. I'm not being mean. I'm not calling them bad and I'm not calling someone's dog anything. I'm just trying to educate on the different "pit bull" breeds. I'll end it but I wasn't doing anything wrong... other than getting this thread way off topic.

The pups we have along with ALL of 24 dogs are UKC registered and show with the club, so OBVIOUSLY they have to be APBT's because that is what they are shown and judged as in APBT only shows. So yeah. But lets just be adult about this and drop it. We can fight about this all day, but either way no one is going to win.
