So I am kind of a computer nerd, if you couldn't tell from some of my other posts haha, and I feel I have done everything to max my browser speed. But the only problem is, I can't find the right anti virus program :/ I tried bitdefender and just didn't like it. It blocked everything just fine but creating exception rules was just to difficult. It wouldn't even let me open firefox for the longest time. Anyone got any suggestions? Whats good to use? Anti virus systems are important esspecially with the amount of beta game testing I do. I'm gonna keep looking around. Anyway, I'm just sort of ranting and sparking a conversation. Any help?

    I'm not very good with computers, but my computer repair guy put Avira Anti-virus in my computer and I haven't had any problems. It has a pop up screen when it detects a virus and gives you options like "delete" "move" etc. And it's free

    I'll give that a shot :D bitdefender was suppose to be the best but it was just to intense for my small netbook to handle.

    I'll tell you what NOT to use! McAfee Security Suite. My computer is naturally slow (5 years old and counting), but McAfee has done nothing to help it. Also, there is this virus that it does not catch, and the virus actually blocks McAfee out so it can't so it's job. However, even though they are said to work against each other, we downloaded SUPERAntiSpyware Free Edition and Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware. Both free. We run scans with them in SafeMode. No saying they're all you need, but they do work. Depending on what type of system you have, I've done research and Microsoft Security Essentials was highly spoken of by people with Windows Vista or Windows 7. Anybody with anything older like Windows XP were upset, as it slowed their comptuter down, was very noticeable, didn't run in the backround, etc.

    My boyfriend is a computer programmer and he swears by AVG. He's huge on blocking and protection, so it comes from high authority. I also use it myself and it is awesome. :)

    Im trying Kaspersky, and I have to say, with in 20min of registering with it all the viruses I had where gone and my comp was running at the same speed as the first day I got it.
