Dog Age and Contracts?

When i try to send a contact it says my dog is to old to be leased, how far away from there "death date" do they have to be. If they die at 12 can you send them at 11.10?

    It was put in place to ensure people stopped spending older dogs on contract, accidentally (or purposefully in some cases) retiring them, then cancelling the contract thus reclaiming their dog from K9 Heaven.<br><br>Minor annoyance I know, but there were some people who just continued to abuse this glitch despite warnings. Thus this was put into place :)

    if someone sends a dog before then though and then will the dog atomatically come back when the dog has 2 months to live?
