• If she's that young and doing things like that, chances are something is up, like problems at home. I'm sorry if it sounds like I'm insulting your friends parents, but when most kids that age say they're "running away" it's walking down the road and being away for like an half hour, not actual running away... Only person I knew that ended up actually running away at that age turned out to have been being beaten by her alcoholic father....

 • I don't want to go into to much detail...
But they don't have alot of money and she has a few mental unstabilities...
she doesn't know her mom and her dad just came into her life.
She and her half sis live with their grandparents...

Um....well I dont wanna go on about their lives.... but their grandparents love them very much..

Not necessarily. Sometimes teens get it in their heads that the problem is their family when they feel too many restrictions are put on them, or when punishment is too harsh, when in reality, the restrictions and penalties aren't that bad and are for their own good.. Such as staying out too late or going to a party with older kids, etc. I've had two members of my family, in completely different states have kids in their schools go missing the past couple weeks.

One is the daughter of my cousin's best friends. They are good people, not super well to do, but not poor either. The girl was found 2 days later at a friend's house. Her excuse for running away? She was grounded because she broke curfew.

The second girl was found about a week after disappearing, staying with an adult who had convinced her to run away and be with her because her parents didn't approve of homosexuality. In reality, the parents didn't approve of an adult of any gender being intimate with their 15 year old.

Now kids under the age of about 10 might say they are running away and only stay gone a little while, but the older they are, the more serious the threats of running away can become.

Early teens can be an incredibly hard age for kids and their parents/custodians. Hopefully, your friend gets things worked out, kiwi.

 • Thank you Alabama.
From what I have heard the girl is doing much better.
I don't want to to be nosey so I've just been asking how she is doing.
Earlier her Grandmother told me she had just been registered for school and everything is going better.
Hopefully things stay that way......

My friend is much better now to, we are back to planning our plans for when I come home.
Like dying our hair the same color and doing as many things as possible in the 5 days before school starts when I get back from my dads.
