Is this weird cat behavior?

So my new kitten, we've only had her for a day, sleeps and plays in her litterbox. It's clean, but still. We put her in the bathroom so she gets used to one setting without the dog and have her come out on her own. Only thing is she whines when no one is with her. I just think it's odd, but my main concern is her staying in her litterbox.

    I've noticed a lot of kittens have obsessions with the litterbox when they're young. Something about it fascinates them, I guess. If it matters, I've raised/cared for over 150 kittens from birth to 8-10 weeks. :P Quite a few had this thing for playing with the litter. XD They do grow out of it though. :)

    <br><br>She's not playing with the litter, but she brings all the toys into it and everything. For this reason we clean it as soon as we notice something.

    Do you have another box for her to go into, one without litter? A cat I had when I was younger had an odd fascination with boxes in general, and if she didn't have a box to hide in she'd get in the litter box.

    Are adult cat like rolling around in it too! We found out that she just loves rolling on rough surfaces she never brought her toys in there though.. are kitten use to like being in there too.. but he had some fleas when we got him.. and we were told that sometimes fleas will jump off them and into the litter box for some reason..<br><br>Cats are just plain weird sometimes though.. and the love to hide is strong in them.. even though we can still see them they feel safe (Doesnt even mean t hey are scared though) Just a cat thing..

    Our 4 month old kitten loves her litter box. It's usually only right after we clean it out, she'll sit in it or kick it everywhere, but she loves to play in it and she has since day one. Like everyone has said, cats are a strange creature. ;p
