Yep, that's where I've been the past.. 2 or 3 days? It's been so long that I have no clue what day it is, or a sense of time. We drove 4 hours out to the middle of nowhere and by "the middle of nowhere" I mean no running water, smelly outhouses, then worst of all, zero civilization. Zero Civilization is what we called it.. but thinking about it now, it wasn't that bad. Certainly not what we're used to, though. You're probably wondering who the "we" is, right? The "we" is me, 3 counselors, and 21 kids from my grade whom I will talk more about in a second. Anyway, when we got finally there, we set everything up (tents, grill, etc.) which was a huge project for my friend. My friend did not understand that you heed to drive the stakes into the ground all the way, or they'll pop out when you try to put the tent up. Eventually, we drove to the lake to practice paddling commands. At the lake, we unloaded the raft that we were going to practice on and believe it or not, a thunder storm came through. Urgh. That was fun. An extra half an hour sitting in the vans. Everything else went fine that night, we successfully made supper without blowing anything up, the camp fire started fine, and I didn't burn my smore. Bedtime, I discovered a gigantic hole right where I was laying. No sleep that night.

Next day, we got up and went rafting. It wasn't my first time, but definitely an experience. A kid fell out on one of the major rapids, and our guide wanted to get him, but apparently we didn't paddle hard enough and were too busy holding on for dear life. Our guide got pissed we didn't get the kid, and swore at us for half an hour. In my opinion, it wasn't our fault, in the middle of a rapid, you paddle as best you can, while also making sure you don't fall out. After those rapids, it was pretty calm for the rest of the trip. 4 hours in a boat full of guys, you loose your sanity. Trust me, they talked about everything. But, I found that their company was almost better than the other girl's who were on the trip. They don't complain, and have an awesome sense of humor. Our guide turned out to be great, he put this really stuck up kid in his place, and jumped onto another boat to push all the kids off, only because they splashed us. We gained 2 girls halfway through, though. So I wasn't entirely lonely.

Now, the next day, I'm home. I'm sore. I'm very tired (can you tell by my writing?). Therefore, I'm very grouchy.
