Hmm, I'd say barrel racing. I've tried it once on a retired racehose, it's pretty fun

Well, I cantered to the barrel, then galloped around them, then cantered to the end. lol Yea, I can imagine that would be helpful

Awesome. I am/was afraid to go faster then a canter but next time I am gonna make sure I gallop (: I am afraid the horse will get hurt or somethin but Logan told me something that assures me that 99.99% of the time the horse will not get hurt if I do what he told me

Yea I was scared too, Scammy (the horse) would always trip when he went faster than a trot. So I was convinced I was going to die,lol. But he did really good. Ugh, I miss him

Yes I have horses and I do barrels... I have an Appaloosa named Dream, two Quarter Horses named Doc and Classy, and one Palomino named Sunny... But I only do barrels with Dream and Classy.

Tried Practicing barrel racing and it didnt end well.. and you guys go fast around those things.. plus im not one for western saddles anyways.. prefer english.. or bareback even. Use to ride competitively.. But i got into a bad accident so im unable to these days.. still like riding though

Awh, Im sorry. That stinks! So do you do jumping then? I onlly ride western but want/am thinking about learning english even though I would have to teach myself basically lol.

I Do my own version odd cross country now.. jump over logs and stuff but thats about it. I prefer English.. its easy to pick up.. helps with your posture too.. and tones your leg muscles right up..If you do.. have fun for the first week or two.. your legs will be sore >.<

Besides bullriding barrel racing is the most dangerous rodeo event you can do... It's really fun though and I also enjoy jumping... But I have been doing barrels since I was like 5 or 6 so it's just what I prefer to do

Yeah, I just started a year ago but I have always done western, did your parents teach you to do it when you were that little?? LOL wow. :P I had gone around barrels before not really thinking about it being barrel racing lol.

lol, yeah I went to an NBRA show (im showing there) and there was like an 8 yr old but nowadays not many,if any, kids will be brought up on a horse unfortunately so we have to teach them!!! :DD lolz

Yeah I am going to raise my daughter around horses and she will have her fist pony by the time she is atleast two years old. I want her to know what responcibility is... Most kids in the US don't have that trait anymore

I know what you mean. My school is out in horse country... We actually have like 5 boarding facilities across the street and one right next to it... But the kids in the school are still punks... We have the "rednecks" which is what they call ANYONE with horses, cows, chickens, ect and then there is everyone else... Lucky for me, I got into a crowd or rockers and scences, so I am not one of the technical misfits... Because no one talks to the horse owners or riders except for other riders and owners... Except me and my cousin...
