I hate, hate, hate, hate, HATE when people use the wrong grammar or spell something wrong. It's like my biggest pet peeve ever. EVER. Gaaahh!! Like, when people say "your" instead of "you're" or vise versa. It's just annoying! It's like really? We learned this stuff in like 2nd grade and you don't remember how to freakin spell?! Or like the 3 there's. "Over THERE." "THEY'RE yours." "It's THEIR'S." REALLY?! Is it really that difficult?

I before e except after c.
Make the y and i and add ed.
When 2 vowels go walking, the first one does the talking!

S I M P L E .

I also hate it when people do the an and a thing. Like, "an honor." Not "a honor." GRR.. That annoys me too.. • It bugs me slightly when people make stupid spelling mistakes but I always remember that some people just don't understand the rules of grammar and such. Plus, I have a friend who's slightly dyslexic and when I text him, he can't always spell even the simplest of words so I'm used to just dealing with it. It's not his fault.

Just like some people are better at math, some people are better at English. So I try not to criticize. :P
 • I'm a big spelling and grammar person, love English and I still sometimes mistype the wrong word, typing its when I mean to type it's. My fingers just respond more quickly than I can think sometimes. LOL Same thing with yours, theirs, etc.. There are some words that I just absolutely cannot type correctly the first time, such as necessary, theirs and counselor, and if it weren't for spell check, I'd probably make quite a few more mistakes. It certainly does make it easier for me to be more lenient when others make mistakes in typing, spelling or grammar recognizing my own hitches in the language.

 • I make simple mistakes sometimes when it comes to the (their/they're/there)s ot it's/its. I do very well with spelling/grammar and such, but it's easy to make mistakes. Or when you miss an entire word, lol. Something like "and then truck pulled out in front of me" completely forgetting "the". I'm a bit more understanding with examples such as my first sentence. What I can't tolerate is people spelling like: "y?", "yhu" for you, "r" for are, stuff like "gr8" for great, or not changing y to ies when made plural or examples like wolf to wolves and elf to elves and leaf to leaves.

I can't say I can't tolerate or don't like "chat speak" because I use it myself in some cases. I use "kool" because I like k's better anyway and I hate the way c's look next to o's but still use school instead of "skool". I use (lol/lmao/lmfao) and say "cuz" since I like that better than "cause" since it looks like the word cause as in to cause an accident. Granted you're technically supposed to spell it like 'cause anyway, but still. I don't use those either since I don't like that. Like for example I use: em , tis , twas , lookin , checkin , and whatever else needs the apostrophe. I use "til" which is technically incorrect and supposed to be "till" if not using until formally. Essentially, as long as I can understand why the person is trying to say, I won't make a fuss out of it -though it does annoy me when trying to read a message that's intentionally mispelled or whatever cuz all they know to do is "chat speak". Even I'm not the dictionary and don't know how to spell Every single word although it's in my vocabluary, so I am a bit more understanding when the person tries spelling a word and maybe gets a vowel wrong or something. But changing y to ies is a very commonly learned thing at an early stage and that tends to annoy me. Mainly when I see "huskys" since it's my favorite domesticated breed and when I see "wolfs" since it's my favorite breed of canine. I had a rant about that in someone else's rant about people's mispellings and whatnot.

Lol, see? Even I made my own mistakes. "ot" in the first sentence is supposed to be or (happens more often than I'd like) and "why" in the second sentence is supposed to be what.

 • This isn't typing but is still along the lines of spelling.
This past year I was in an elective with a girl that was so bad at spelling. She didn't have any disability of any kind that I knew of and she was one of those that you know just doesn't care at all. Well, she was asked to right various things on the board. There were multiple spelling mistakes that were words everyone learned at a youngish age.
She spelled biginning -being
She spelled trouble -trouboule
Nobody said anything because some people just don't grasp spelling as well as others, but those words are words that are seen all the time. It seems like it would have stuck in her brain at some point.

And I make spelling mistakes quite often. It seems like I notice it as I am pressing send. Then it's just too late xD And in my head I'm thinking 'Noooooooo'
