Shire Mare
We just bought a new horse, picked her up about a month ago. Thought I'd share some pictures with you guys! These pics are from when she first came home. She is a 9 year old shire mare. Broke to ride. Right now she is on a serious diet. Dry lotted most of the day, only a couple hours on pasture. She's starting to look quite a bit trimmer. I'll have to take some new pics to show the weight loss progression.<br><br>She just had her teeth floated last week. Her previous owners had never had it done, so her teeth were in pretty bad shape. She should be much more comfortable now. <br><br>Had her hooves trimmed also, as they were in horrible condition. I should have taken some before and after pics, they're looking great now.<br><br>Unfortunately, she turned out to have an abscess in her left front. She's been a little sore, so I haven't had a chance to ride her for the last couple of weeks. It finally came through though and she's starting to move a lot better. I'll update with under saddle pics once she's recovered.
