I've been trampled... .-.

Well, the day I decide to help Drew with his barn, I get trampled ;; Like..really? Lol
We had an amazing trail ride (me, Drew (friend) and my little cousin for her lesson). I took Lucky (the kicker/crazy horse), and had to improvise on tack since BO put everything away she was suppose to leave out for me ;; I had no bridle/bit, no tie-down (could care less about that), no breast collar, and no girth..So, I used my saddle/pad which I usually do, Dude's purple breast collar, and I used some sort of hack/bit combo that was just chillin on the mounting block when I got there. She did really good and only kicked out about 5-6 times on our hour an 45 minute trail ride. I kept light as I could on her mouth since I've never even -seen- the contraption I had in her mouth o.o But she seemed to like it, only issue I had was how noisy the curb chain was against the bit, lol.
So, we hosed them off, my cousin left, and we went down to do his barn. Everything going good and the horses were outside the run-in eating hay in the locked off area (we let them out while we're cleaning occasionally. So, I was taking out the wheel barrow to put on the manure pile, and they decided to be completely oblivious to me and run me over to go back out to the field.. ;;
Wheel barrow broke, I got stepped on 4 times on my left forearm (three why shod hooves, one without) from Izzy and Pistol (Toby went around me), two hoofs on my left thigh (hurts to sit down), and I landed in the contents of the wheel barrow. But, nothing serious from my inspection except for possible blood vessel breakage in my forearm, no head or back injuries, and no broken legs on the horses.
And now I'm going to go open my pool up. Sounds like fun, eh? I'm then going to ice everything, haha.
But, just wanted to tell someone and rant/explain what happened :p I'm not upset or anything about it, nor do I blame the horses/Drew/myself. I'm just curious how Drew plans on explaining to our BO the horses in his barn trampled me and killed the wheel barrow, lol.
Yeah..I think I'm done typing now.(:

 • That sounds painful :( I had my hand smashed by a fully grown male Clydesdale stallion in a breeding barn. I was to put him in a stall so that when his number was called he would be brought out to the female of the same number, etc. Well as I put him in he freaked out and smashed my hand against the wall.

 • Nice lol. You okay? lol.
AllInTheName sounds like it hurt!
I help with my friends pony rides and one time I was taking a pony into the trailer (Sterling) and a girl didn't listen and brought in a mare that hates most of the other ponies (Mindy) and she tried to bite Sterling and he stepped back and onto my foot lol.

 • Sounds like fun - yay explaining how crap gets broken xD I know one time I went to turn out Jack (AQH) and Lira (she likes to bite >.>) comes spazz running up. Well, I only had Jack's halter half off, so when he went to look at Lira, I got jerked around, and clumsy as I am, I lost my balance. So, here I go, careening to the side, pulling his halter all funky, into the gate. Now that wouldn't have been so bad, but the gate's chain was old, so when my big butt went flying into it, I broke the gate chain xP It was fun times, fun times, and I know I loved getting to explain that one :lol:

 • Ow, that really stinks for everyone lol. About four years ago, when I was 8, I was riding this huge horse named Earl... about 16-17 hands (which is big for me... I love my ponies lol) and my old trainer KNEW that Earl didn't like her huge German Shepherd, Sarge. Well, I was trotting Earl and Sarge was out running through the arena *My old trainer knowing* ran in front of Earl. Earl freaked out, reared up and took off, bronco style. I flew off in front of him and he ran over my back... had a huge bruise and scrape for like 3 months lol

Good times XD

Sadly, no. And yes - I'm an avid horse lover. Jack isn't my horse, he was my instructor's horse. I love that horse more than anything, but my instructor lost her place so I haven't been able to ride/see him for months because they moved 3 hours away Dx It's killing me inside, and I won't be able to find a new place to ride/take lessons until my mother gets remarried >.>

 • Awww, Wolfie I'm so sorry about that! ):
 • Thanks, it's nice to be able to talk to people who understand. My best friend tries to make me feel better, but she's a bird person not a horse person, so she can't totally relate. Plus, it's nice to be able to creep and look at everyone else's horse on here :lol:
