Calling people with hamster knowledge

I just started making my own website with basic small animal care info. I'm not even close to being finished. I have the hamster section pretty much done though. Basically I'm just asking for people to go check it out and see if I forgot any hamster info. To access my website, click on the little pic of the globe under my icon. Thank you!

Love the little site you've got going on ^_^ Tis very cute. I may just steal it to create my own. Do links work on it? Also, I like the information you have down. Adjustments I'd recommend are additionally adding the excersize ball to the entertainment, and maybe a generalization of the prices of the cage, ball, houses, etc. Now it's very true that basically all rodents love to chew on things. You mentioned giving them a house of a cardboard box or something of the like. They'd easily just chew that up instead of living in it XD Technically, they'd chew their own hole instead of cutting one out for them, lol. Another thing I'd add is what I like to call "puffy" shavings. I forget what they actually are called but it's a soft material that most often comes in a grey-like color but can also be found in blue and pink. I actually like that type of bedding more than shavings because it's softer and easier to clean out and absorbs more than wooden shavings. Wooden shavings tend to also get stuck to the bottom of the cage or smaller pieces can be left in the corners and such. They can sometimes be a bit cheaper than shavings but one major plus to wooden shaving are that Walmart has the HUGE bags that last a few months and definitely worth the money (if you compare prices to a normal size bag, that one bag will be cheaper for say three months than buying the normal size -1 for each month). Now I'd also add their sleeping habits. Nocturnal and less active during the day. Especially with younger children, they won't understand that and become upset if the hamster isn't awake when they want to play with it. This'll cause them to constantly disturb the hamster during its sleep and could mess with it behaviorly. Like most creatures, rodents like deep dark sleeping habitats that are extremely comfy. A lot of times my hamsters would fall asleep in the pockets of my robe ^_^ Um..I think that's about it for critique. Other than that, I like your information. Oh. And this is a last minute add on. When it comes to cleaning the cage/tank, I did that usually on the weekend -whether it be Sunday or Saturday. And that's cleaning it as a whole. Sometimes additional scoops here and there are needed -but I believe that's mainly an issue for Guinea Pigs, lol. Um..oh. I never actually washed out the tanks for my gerbils but I used to for my hamsters -although it probably wasn't needed. Again, it's mainly just Guinea Pigs who need that. But it won't hurt being extra clean ^_^ I just scooped the shavings out with a cat litter box scoop.

Nah, I'd just steal em since you don't want them anyways ^_^ But hey! Those could go to the poor. Not everyone's fortunate to just have pennies they can simply toss in the trash! You could just dump em in those machines that count it for you. Which in all honesty, I highly doubt they're all that reliable and they charge a fee to use em =/ Again -dang Americans and their greed for money ;D Lmao.
