So today there was a pretty big cow sale, and some friends of my grandparents who no longer own a farm's one son decided to buy a few animals and keep them at our farm (We're currently holding 15 cows for other people haha) and anyways. The guy buys 3 a cow for 12k, a yearling for 12k, and a calf for 10k... So because they were full body clipped we didn't want them outside or in one spot in the back. So we have 3 of the purchased (we purchased a yearling also) so our yearling, and their yearling and cow were in the front barn, well we put the calf in a pen with 3 swiss calves. So anyways the friends came to see the ones that were purchased with the guys wife and kids, and my cousin "Bob" brings the calf to the front for them to see. Well maybe 15 minutes later Bob and I take the calf back. So there's a step to get to the back pens, and with the step on the one side is a manger. So well Bob is holding the calf loosely giving her lots of lead and when he steps down and walks a bit forward. Well she goes flying and if she was a centimeter over her foot would have gotten caught in the manger and she would have broken her leg. She did bump her leg, but didn't hurt it. Well I say Bob you need to be more careful. He goes into this whole "It's not my fault don't yell at me." I'm perfectly calm but after that I was like "Okay Bob if you were holding her better she wouldn't have leapt off the step." and then its well 'She didn't hurt herself."<br>Okay well... This is a 10k animal, and if she had hurt herself well her owners were in the barn, what the heck would you have said -_- and I'd be sure to say its your own damn fault... Anyways my whole vent is about how he wasn't been cautious with a 10,000 animal... and the thing is he is really not cautious with anyone else's animals, he lets others animals do whatever when he leads or takes care of them, but when it comes to his own it must be perfect, not a hair out of place... I just wish he'd be cautious with others animals...
