Tri, I know Vampy. She doesn't 'beat' her animals. She meant punishing him. If you've ever owned a horse, you know you need to do this. The are too big to just say 'No' too. How would you like it if your horse always bucked and reared when you got on because you were a pushover?<br><br>Anyway, she meant beat as in 'lunge'. Make him work. His behavior wasn't acceptable, so she made him work.

Well, if that was the case, that's what she should have said. Animal abuse really ISN'T something that should ever be taken lightly. Also, I have in fact spent my entire life around horses and people who own horses, who own ranches devoted to breeding horses, and most of the people I've known would never try to discipline a horse when they were angry with it...

<br><br><br><br>Vampy loves her animals to much to actually harm them. Any animal for that matter. I've been best friends with Vampy since we were 5. I was there when she got every single one of her horses. I even sold one to her. If she was "Abusive" to horses i wouldnt have sold him to her. The only time she pops a horse is when it bites. Then it's a light pop on the end of their nose so that they know not to bite. Honestly he has ALWAYS been a troublesome horse (you know what i mean vampy) He's always been full of spirit and rebellious. He was sent to a trainer but still acts like the mustang he has in him. He's stubborn, much like his owner, and she HAS to show him that she means boss. This horse is well over six foot tall and over a thousand pounds. Are YOU going to let him run you over and throw you without so much as a pop here and there to keep him in line? I think not. Im not being rude or mean, I'm just stating that ifshe WERE beating n animal... Why would she post on VP? An ANIMAL loving site about it? Ive personally seen her work with this horse. I've personally seen him throw her in the arena for NO reason. She doesn't even come close to abusing him.
Oh I'm not Coco I was just stating that I've personally seen her work with this horse and I personally know that she would NEVER touch an animal in a harmful way. They mean to much to her ya know? She's my best friend. I have to look out for here ya know? lol
Lol, I don't mean by defending her or anything. I just meant people should know the whole story before starting fights. I've only met Vampy recently, and on here, but we became fast friends, and I don't know about her, but I would be severely angry if someone said I abuse my animals.

Mhm That's why i was so quick to defend her without getting all huffy, is cause I know her in real life and hang out with her at school and i was there when she got all her horses. I used to ride WITH her all the time haha

Mhm. Never BEATING. More like he KNOWS im mad and he still acts dumb anyways. What would you have me do? Get off him every time he acted dumb and let him get away with the behavior?! I think not. I just mean i make him run until he is drenched in sweat and the "beating" is if he slows down he gets popped behind or on the butt with a whip. Ive WORKED with abused horses before. I have a headshy shetland and yes with Blaze you have to be VERY strict because for the first 20 years of his life he was allowed to get away with bucketloads so he's a spoiled stubborn brat and if you arent EXTREMELY firm with him he will walk all over you. He's a jerk but he's my jerk. He sucks up his breath and makes you saddle slip every time you get on him but we work through it together. He's fat and fluffy and loves to run people over but when i first got him i couldnt even STOP him. Now i can lope him and do some higher maneuvers. I never wouldve accomplished this if he didnt like me. He's a real strange horse when it comes to people he likes and how he's handled. You have to know when to be sweet to him and when he deserves to run his ass off. My brother tried to push him around once against my better judgement and almost killed him. So now i listen to what i feel is right and things with him have gotten soo much better. He and tawny will even lay down and fall asleep in the pasture while im rubbing on them which is the untimate trust between human and horse.
Blaze is pretty calm around me for the most part isn't he? =D<br><br>I know Tawny is! xD Shelby is pretty relaxed around me as well haha when shes not protecting lil Roman of course! =D<br><br>Her horses really do love her. I've seen Blaze be all pushy and Stubborn as HECK xD It used to take FOREVER to get him in a trailer!! haha!
Wasn't meant to be a personal attack, more of an attack on abuse. Beat wasn't the best of terms to use, and I didn't mean to say you were, just IF you were than you shouldn't be allowed to own an animal. Sorry if I upset anyone, but there are far to many people who actually do abuse animals to not have said anything.
The term abuse is so lightly thrown around though, now. I pop my guinea pig lightly on the nose whenever he chews the wire, and I'm sure some people may call it abuse, but it's for his own good. He could chip a tooth or something <br><br>Whatever, lighter subject, anyone?
