American Idol?? Nooo!!!

I don't know if anyone out there hasn't watched it yet...but <span style="color:#FF0000"><span style="font-size:200">spoilers are ahead!!</span></span><br><br>_______________________________________________________________________________________________<br><br><br>I am so upset that Karen went home! She was one of my favorite girls. I said that once Simon and Paula were gone, I wouldn't watch the show anymore, but after seeing the auditions I'm hooked! Everyone seems really good, but Niamh just can't seem to hit the notes! I was sure she would be sent home tonight. I hate that you vote, because a lot of people will vote for someone based on their looks, attidude, or popularity, not on how well they sing. <br><br>Karen...you have a beautiful voice so don't stop singing!<br><br>Opinions on American Idol and the contestants?

    Scotty. He's talented but I don't really think he should be on American Idol. He seems so laid back and country.

I don't think people will like what I have to post then... <br><br>LOL... <br><br>Ok, So I've watched american Idol as far back I can remember... <br><br>I wasn't to happy to see Karen go home though... <br><br>I have to say my Favs are... <br>1. James - ( I love him!!!)<br>2. Scotty ( Well... He is just SOOO country,Once they get into more types of music like rock,he just won't be able to sing it. But His voice is just sooo perfect someone will make a contract with him)<br>3. Naima ( I understand she has problems with hitting all the notes,but unlike the others she goes more out with expressing herself.)

If she can't sing the notes properly, she shouldn't have made it this far. As for the guy that got saved last week, I think he's very talented but needs to stop screaming. I'm just upset that 2 people will be going home. Sorry to say, but I hope Niama is one of them.

    Everyone had their own opinion..... <br><br>Yea... this is a singing contest,not dancing..... <br><br>Though it seems the ones that can make themselves stand out are the one that make it the farthest... <br>but if she can't hit the notes she won't last long...

    Yeah. Remember a few years ago, that Sanjaya guy? He could not sing well yet his looks got him to the top 4 or something. It's sad when it becomes a popularity contest instead of a singing contest. I do like Niamh though, and I think if she worked more on the vocals instead of dancing and expression and stuff she would do better. <br><br>We will see what happens next week!

    Me too! I told myself I wouldn't watch the show this year because most of the judges, including my favorite, Simon, would be gone. Yet after seeing the auditions I'm hooked! They are all very talented! What do you think of Paul? I think his voice is unique but a little weird. Almost like a raspy tone. <br><br>I saw this new show advirtised where the judges don't look at the singers. That way they can only judge them on their voices, not their looks! I think it's a great idea!

    Yea.... That is a GREAT idea..<br><br><br>OOPS I think I left him out of my list!! <br>He has always been one of my Favorites!! <br>I've loved him from the beggining,and yea,his voice is just so diffrent.

    Yeah, it's nice to hear a unique voice every so often. All the pop stars sound the same now. And their voices are always modified in the recording studio to make them sound better. They look for super models with great personalities in that business, which is why I love American Idol and other shows. Think of Susan Boyle! She surprised everyone and now despite her age, and despite that fact she's not a super skinny, picture perfect model, she has become really succesful!

    Yeah. I love to sing but I would never want to become famous. Way too much pressure from people that want to change your looks and voice!
