• People make mistakes. I would only like this idea if it happens contantly, but most experienced players know the rules and check the dates. =)

 • So far, there have not been any repeat offenders. Once they are asked to stop, they have.

I honestly rarely look at dates on posts, my salvation for not being guilty of bringing up old posts is my laziness. I simply have no interest in reading more than new posts.

 • Maybe I'm just breathing conflict into something uneccessary, I just thought that maybe adding the "repeat offender" to the rule book, but , maybe i'm insane. Sorry if it seems to harsh

 • I don't get why it's such a big deal if it's an open ended discussion that could last forever, maybe with good additional points. But point infractions? I agree that that's a little extreme.. If it's really such a big deal, why not just close/lock the thread? It's not like it's harmful or an inconvenience to anyone. If it personally bothers you, for whatever reason, just simply ignore it. If no one has anything to further comment on the thread with, it'll go back down as other threads are created/posted on. What's the difference between posting on an old thread (recycling, if you will) as opposed to unnecessarily creating an entirely new thread about the same exact thing? That's just my opinion *shrugs*
