Arrested, Anyone?

Erin and I were up in this old campground place in the middle of nowhere taking pictures for photography class.. and the 'no trespassing, officers authorized to arrest' sign was very well hidden. The place is like, a religious campground, and it's like 200 years old. And apparently families own the cabins (which are probably as old as the campground itself) and they've been passed down, and they're all locked up but there have been break ins lately. I don't know why anyone would want to break in, there are huge holes in all the buildings between the slats of wood holding the things together and you can clearly see they're all old dirt floored nasty places with no electricity or running water. But they still hold religious meetings there for 2 weeks every August. It's ridiculous. I could have spent hours there shooting, and probably would have, had the cop not showed up. I've contacted the county's chamber of commerce to see if there's a possibility I could be escorted throughout the camp to shoot, because I'm dying to get more pictures. I'm not even concerned about spending half an hour in county jail, I'm still buzzing from the excitement of finding this place!

Ooh that does look cool! I would enjoy taking pictures around there too! I was trespassing once with a group of boys around my age and my little sister. We had no clue there was a "No Trespassing" sign. It had been on the ground and flipped over. The fence was wire and had been worn into the ground. We were exploring this little cabin/shed thing. The cops started coming over to us and we tried running away. I woulda gotten away when my stupid sister tripped and I had to help her up. By then the cops were too close and would see us running so we stayed. Us and maybe 2-3 boys stayed as well while about 4 others ran off. We just got questioned and one of the cops was like "do you smell gas?" xD One kid tried getting this lawnmower to run because he is weird into lawn care and machines like that. We were maybe 10-12 at the time so they let us go and we walked home (about 10min away). They said they would tell our parents but never did. I confessed the whole thing to mine just in case. xD Sounds like an adventure Vi! If only most crimes were taking photos on a camp ground. xD

Sounds kinda scary, but it looks so cool! My friend and I got caught by a cop, or rather a security guard just yesterday! We were at the mall with my mom, little sister, and her friend. We split up, my friend and I went off to look in some stores, we had our phones and had plans to meet my mom an hour later. We were not aware that the mall had a new rule.....people under 17 can not walk around alone on Fridays or Saturdays! I called my mom and of all times for her not to answer her phone, she did not answer!! We were scared she would be like "Come with me" or something, but she just told us to go sit on a bench until we get a hold of my mom. She watched us from a distance to make sure we would not try to go off before she got there. Anyways, my mom was all the way across the mall when she finally answered. Her phone was on vibrate and for some reason she couldn't hear it, probably because my sister and her friend were being noisy. My mom, my friend, and me were both pretty annoyed...we had no idea the mall made that rule!

my "adopted brother" was arrested cause a 17 year old claimed he was DUI and he doesnt even drink, they let him out like the next day and they still havent had a trial cause they really have nothing against him his lawyer said, and its been a year or more! XD

There is an old lumber mill in my SMALL little town and its out in the woods and pitch black. The story goes that a white man found his daughter sleeping with one of the workers so he hung the worker in the mill and hung his daughter at the old water tower (That still stands next to one of the buildings) and he moved to south Louisiana somewhere. Then when it was gutted out an abandoned "Satan" worshipers started making human sacrifices in it and stuff and its suppsed to be haunted. Me and my friends go there at night ALL the time. Their is graffiti all inside and it looks really cool. It really does have a creepy feeling. A huge abandoned building in the pitch black. Weird. My friend had a dream that there was another entrance and we went back that night and there really was another entrance to it just like he dreamed. You walk about 150 yards down a winding trail through the woods to get to the building. It was pitch black and there were about 6 of us and we were in one big group and "Chase" cut down a rope and when we went back the rope was there like it hadn't even been cut. Then he got the BRILLIANT idea to read the lords prayer. A huge rock slammed against a wall somewhere inside and I took off RUNNING down the pitch black trail tripping over branches and running through brambles.. I made it back to my bff Junior's truck and jumped inside real fast. Everyone else came running back too. Junior started his truck and spun out trying to get outta there but Chase was in front of him and chase stopped his truck and had to get out and puke. He said it felt like someone was choking him. He looked back at us then behind our truck and said "OH CRAP! QUICK! GET OUTTA HERE!" and jumped in his truck and spun out onto the highway. We met up at the 24 hour store down the road and got out and went inside to calm down.. Ive been back a few times since then but we have never been caught down there. I was down there tonight as a matter of fact!! lol I'm getting my Senior Pictures taken in that building sometime soon! I'll go back soon to take pictures in the light

No charges were pressed against us, thank goodness. My friend and I both had our expensive cameras and bags of film, so obviously we weren't trying to tear the things apart, but he did take us into the police station just because he had to. Two teenage girls aren't much of a threat to old wooden buildings. Haha.

See, I wasn't caught by the cops. I was caught by the owner of the property, who warned me, asked me if I was meeting anyone there to vandalize [I wasn't, I was merely curious about the place, because it's really neat looking and the person that lived there was a chemist...I took some of his notes

], and then he told me that as long as it didn't happen again he wouldn't call the cops. Anyhow, you got lucky. However, you could probably ask for a pass or something. Someone has to own the property.

Me and my cousins are always up to no good. So one FREEZING cold day we went over to a closed down park that had this really high bridge and a pond below it, and we started jumping off the bridge and into the pond. I went first, and then the rest of my cousins and friends jumped in. The water was so cold we all crawled out and tried to run back up to the bridge to get our clothes and I saw a lady watching us from outside of the closed down park, and she was on her phone. The people in that area are so strict, so I knew she was calling the cops. When the cops showed up (they are also VERY strict) we were barely even dressed and a few of us didn't even have our pants all the way on yet. We all started running and one of my friends totally ditched his pants and ran in his boxers because he didn't have them on yet xD We ran out of the park and into the woods freezing our butts off. I had an extra pair of pants in my bag and I handed them to the guy with none on, which was hilarious because he's about 6'3 and weighs around 195 pounds, and I'm 5'3 and weigh 100 pounds, he still took my pants and tried to shove them on, they looked like EXTREMELY skinny skinny skinny jeans on him xD While we were all cracking up at how he looked the cops came running into the woods and found us! I just looked at them and laughed harder because they were looking at my friend with my pants on with weird faces. They didn't arrest us, but they took down all of our name's and numbers and told us they would call. Later on that night, I got a call on MY cell phone telling me about "my child's" behavior...hee hee...

The individual cabins are owned by families, I said that. While I obviously can't contact each and every owner of the 200+ cabins, I did contact the county to see if I could possibly get permission to shoot there. I've been told to contact the sheriff's office to see if I can get a police escort, as they are the ones enforcing the no trespassing because of the absence of the owners 50 weeks out of the year.
