So I'm giving it a shot at showing some dogs. I've always been focused on training and breeding and now I want to branch out to showing.

So far I have two dogs that I have been showing on a regular basis:
Regional 10x4 Black and Tan Coonhound: http://virtualpups.com/index.php?r=dog/view&id=1803551
Novice 9x4 Australian Cattle Dog: http://virtualpups.com/index.php?r=dog/view&id=1510980

I have read this guide: http://virtualpups.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=45511; and this one: http://virtualpups.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=61982; and I know how to train my dogs in the events I want them to do well in, but I don't understand the best way to actually event your dog. I've heard people say to just throw them in a bunch of events and see how they do or should I specialize in just certain events. How do you know they will do well?

 • I tried out a bunch of events with my lab, and I discovred she placed best in Canine Disc and Flyball, so I decided to focus on those two. However, to make money I will do other events. Just don't keep puting your dog in events they're bad at or it will be a waste of time and money. If you're in it for the fame, put in as many events as you can, but if you really care about how the dog places put them in only certian types of events.
