-happy and sad vent-

Whoa.
Again, another busy Saturday at work.
This morning at 8:30, a man came to the front door of the humane society. We don't open until 11:00, so my boss went out to tell him that we were not open.
My co-worker and caught snipets of the conversation with the man and my boss including the words "Puppies, 8 weeks old." "Eight." and "No homes."
My co-worker and were like, "Ohhh, man."
So as it turns out, this man had bred his Husky and Labrador and couldn't handle the eight puppies. REALLY? Gosh! His only excuse was that "He just couldn't handle that many puppies."
Well guess what?! That's what happens when you breed, you get puppies! GOODNESS!
Thankfully, he was smart enough to keep them until they were eight weeks old.
So at 9:00 we got 8 puppies.

At 12:00, a woman came in with a box.
Figuring it was going to be a cat, I got a cage set up.
Turns out, it wasn't a cat.
It was 6 newborn puppies. Eyes and ears still closed.
Looked like Aussie pups.
SO FRICKIN CUUTE!
The lady said she found them in a box down by a pond the night before when she and her son were feeding the fish.
We got them fed and warm and kept them in the warm office.
My boss took them home ^.^

And at 4:00, I was walking to my car, getting ready to leave and I saw a man pull up.
He asked if we were still open and I told him we would be for about another ten minutes.
I asked him if he needed anything before I left, thsi si what he said...
"Oh, I've just got a couple puppies that I can't find homes for."
O.O

Yeah...14 puppies plus a few more.
Geez.
Busy busy day!
But I am happy that they brought them to us!

But they are so gosh darn cute!
I'll take pictures on Monday!
