• First off, when you send an email to a breeder you are going to have to sound serious. Just like most of the world, I'm sure they prejudged you by how you type. If you sound like a little kid, they're going to think you are not going to be able to handle a dog or they don't think they could make a sale because you are only a kid. They may have ignored you on purpose because they had more serious sounding buyers.

Second, when looking for a specific breed, sometimes you have to -wait-. Lots of breeders won't have many litters at all which is a good thing! Find a breeder you like and contact them to find out when their next planned litter is. Waiting isn't fun but it's necessary if you absolutely want that breed. It's good to get familiar with the current dogs they've raised, see the conditions, etc.

When my dad was looking for a German shepherd, he had gone to one breeder and found the mom of the current litter was from another kennel. He liked how her temperament was and went to that breeder instead.

Did your parents already say you could get one? I wouldn't waste a breeder's time asking about a dog you can't even get. I see no harm in asking questions about the actual breed.
I have to agree, this means no text-talk! XD
If it's a good breeder with good dogs then it's well worth the wait. I waited six months for my male Shiba, and around two years for my first Shiba.
You can always check for a breed rescue organization, or look on petfinder and find a GP that would love to be rescued.
Unless you plan on doing conformation with the pup, I'd consider getting a rescue =]
