Congrats~<br>If he's pink and red, then I'm going to guess he's a Cambodian.<br><br>The tank you picked is good to start with; better than the filterless bowls that often get chosen. Since the tank you choose doesn't come with one, you should look into getting him a heater in the future. It's rather beneficial to bettas, and I've heard good things about <a href="http://www.hydor.com/prodotti/show/famprod/10/list/3" target="_blank" class="bb-url">this one</a>, which is the only one I know about made for a tank as small as yours.<br><br>Seems like each betta has it's own personality, so I'd live with him for a few days before naming him if you are unsure. He'll probably do something, and then a perfect name will just pop into your head.

yay bettas, i try to always name mine after powerful forces of nature but i am running out. i just got a new betta too and named him tsunami. i always try to pick the most misserable looking fish this one was so sad laying in hardly any watter i was expecting him to be ugly but i got him home and he was stunning. sorry for rambling good luck with the fish maybe google japanese names?
