• I understand how frustrating, and even distressing it can be to have a troublesome sibling. My brother was no angel either when he was younger and hurt me quite badly on several occasions. Thankfully, he grew out of that, but he is still rude and disrespectful to my parents if he doesn't get his way.

I believe many boys go through through stages like that. The rudeness is definitely normal, although I know that this doesn't make it any more pleasant. The violence against younger children is more worrying. Hopefully your brother will grow out of it, although the safety of your cousin and any other children is very important in the meantime. I babysat a few times for a child like that and I could not turn my back on him even for a second while there were other children around.

I realise that this is deeply concerning you, but I think that this is one of those things that you can't do much about. It is your parents responsibility to discipline your brother and supervise him if he cannot be trusted on his own. At the moment there probably is not much you can do other than tell your parents if you think he is bullying someone. As I said, hopefully your brother will grow out of that bad behaviour eventually.

 • I'm sorry, but I did not understand one word of that.
Ohhh. That's weird. My mom gets my brother and I confused all the time. Which is weird, because he stutters when he talks, and has a lot of "and you know what's" in his sentences. Rather irritating, really. How old is your brother, that he's beating up your two year old cousin? You'd think your parents would have a better punishment than telling him to not do something.
