Dusty - King of the house

I have a black Lab , Dusty Roads, who is turning 6 in January. I'm quite sure I found my dog soulmate in him.<br>He came to us as a 4 month old puppy, who the breeder's husband abused =( He started his life out in a very negative way, other than the abuse from the husband, Dusty's mother also tried to reject him when he was very young. She tried burying him in the dirt cellar at the breeder's house =O. Then when we finally were able to purchase him the breeder brough him to us.<br>He was the most un-coordinated puppy EVER! It took two hours to teach him how to use stairs.....one paw at a time. I named him Dusty because he is impossible to keep clean. I'll wash him and an hour later he's dirty,lol.<br>Well, he finally grew out of the lanky, un-coordinated puppy stage, and is now the best dog I've ever owned. He's incredibly smart too. He knows all the basic tricks (sit,lay down, shake, speak, etc.) and he also knows the sign language to go with them! Whenever someone sneezes, he'll go and get a box of tissues, and he also knows to get the TV remote on command.<br>I can't believe it's already been 6 wonderful years that my boy has been on Earth.<br>In the next week or so Dusty is going to be a father!
