Really bad news...

edited December 2010 in Vent
This sucks. I'm crushed, bawling my eyes out, and miserable after I had such a good day yesterday(My family did Thanksgiving on Friday). I just can't get a break, even if I try! 1 horrible week of homework scheduled during the holiday, which still isn't over, and now I find my bird dead this morning! He was only 3 years(Life expectancy was supposed to be around 10 at least), and we have absolutely no idea what killed him. He wasn't sick(not that I could tell), the heat was on, he had food, he had water, etc. Fine one day, on the bottom of the cage the next morning!Could he have had a reaction to something we were cooking yesterday?

He's still in his cage, and I'll have to do something with him later, but right now I have such a splitting headache from crying, and I have had 0 sleep. I know I was considering the possibility of having to re-home him in a couple years due to school, but now that he's gone I just want him back! How am I supposed to deal with this?!

My little Kermit. • I had a lovebird and this happened. She was fine. Food, water, warm enough, didn't show signs of illness and we found her at the bottom of her cage. She wasn't even a year old. :/

Sorry for your loss

 • Thank everyone. I slept for awhile, and feel a bit better...or as best as you can feel after having something special to you die.

Yeah, it definitely does. I'm not much of a crier to begin with, but I always seem to bawl my eyes out until I feel sick when it's unexpected.

 • I'm so sorry to hear about your bird Sushi! My heart goes out to you.

We've lost several pets, but the one that hit me the hardest was the bird. Me and that dang bird hated each other mutually, but when he was gone I didn't know what to do with myself. My parents house has never been so quiet.

Again, I am sorry for your loss and I hope that you feel better.

This!! It's driving me crazy. I was so used to his tweeting every morning.
I also haven't had a chance to get the cage cleaned out and stored, so out of habit I start to walk towards it, like I did every morning, to check on him, and then I remember he'd not alive anymore.
