Babysitting advice?

Ive got my first real babysitting job tomarow /: Im so bad on phones, so the convo went kind of weird with the dad. Espically since he didnt talk much.<br> Its for two boys, any advice, mostly on how it to not be akward when I get there? Like here the rules, and where the stuff is yada yada with out dead silence? Im so bad at soical skills with people im not close to....

    I'm the same as you. <br>Just make sure you ask any questions you need to, before they leave. Watch how the parents interact/discipline the kids. You're going to need to mimic them. <br><br>Think back to how you were when you were their age. They'll love you if you listen to what they're saying, play along, act surprised/impressed at everything, and basically let them think they're amazing. <br><br>If you google "how to be a good babysitter" you should find some good guides (:

    i babysit all the time. i Normally ask are there any rules i should know and are they alergic to anything?

    Same as everyone else said. Also, if you'll be serving a meal wash the dishes. It really makes a good impression and the parents can relax when they get home. If you can't or don't have time for some reason, just clear the table and make it look as neat as possible.

    Agreed ^ <br>Also, try to straighten up the living room, etc. Just pick random things up off the floor, clear the tables/couches. It really makes the parents want to call you again.
