Be nice to the mochi, man.

I've had people tell me the texture is "fleshy", but I find it to be quite an interesting texture. The outside is covered in flour (at least I think it's flour because it's not sweet enough to be powdered sugar), and on the inside it has red bean which is sweet and has a chewy texture, which makes for an even more interesting food. Sometimes with the red bean a cream is pit in (kind of like a custard doughnut type thing?) Chewing it is fun, too. I don't know how to describe it, but it's fun. It's also a nice snack because it's sweet, but isn't all that bad for you. A decent sized piece has about 90 calories and like no fat! 8D

Ahh, the only reason I'm posting this is because my Koren friend's mother works at a bakery and they make interesting food like this. She sent me home with about eight big pieces of mochi. They're pretty big, so I've only eaten about two so far. Even though I happen to be a mochi enthusiast, I even have to admit, if you eat to much at once you'll get a stomach ache. The texture is fun for a bit, but if you eat it in access then you'll never want to eat it again.

Anyone else like mochi? or at least able to tolerate it?
