First bat mitzvah (With pics)

I went to my first one this weekend, for a friend! It was amazing. I loved an excuse to dress up. I got my hair and makeup professionly done, wich is something i whould never ever do, way to much money, but my mom has a friend who does it and I got it free! Unfortuntly I got toothpaste all-over my dress (yucky!) I got there and my name wasnt on the list, turns out they spelled my last name (fake name, mine's to rare to give out) Hid instead of Hidleyton and my first name Rye instead Renee lol. The ladie barley spoke english, so she was like "You no here, must go sorry" and I was like "Trust me im there" and she said " no no no I see right now, im see, no here" lol. I wasnt to happy, espically after a bad start with toothpaste. o.O I got in (finally) and they had boogie heads, the cutest little things, and you got to keep a cd of it! Also they had tons of airbrush tatoos, and of course being me I had to get like 40 (=
I walked in the main room, and WOW. Disco lights, girly accesorys, and for petes sake the butter was shapped like a disco ball! And choclate was ALL over the table, (choclate is lifes main necceity, screw water) Everything, the tables, chairs, was all satin, pink satin. Buetifull i tell you! And as for the birthday girl? Absolutley gorguess, pics coming soon! (Got permisson (; )
I danced all night with my bffs, and ate some amazing food. Whole steaks, lobesterd, and more food, and dessert? Ice cream bar with everyttopping and fancy mouse stuff!
So much free stuff was given out including personalized snuggies, wich i have not let go of. It took me everything not to take it to school, and the grocery store.
Only bad thing is bday girl looked stressed, very stresses. Mabey the money? She spent 50k on it, way to much for a party....

<img src="http://i1224.photobucket.com/albums/ee364/renpie17/meandlogan.jpg"; alt="http://i1224.photobucket.com/albums/ee364/renpie17/meandlogan.jpg"; class="bb-image" /> ok so please no mean comments, i had permisson to post this from parent of me and the friend! Im on the left in the black dress! (: Our faces are all sweaty from a dance contest lol

Any other storys!?

 • I'm sorry, but I find that really hard to believe. For one thing, Bat Mitzvahs happen at 13, and it's illegal to give someone a tattoo at 13 in at least most states, if not all... I'm not saying it doesn't happen, but no reputable tattoo artist would give a child a tattoo. Plus, no matter how much money you have, a whole steak is not going to be considered an appetizer...

I hate to say it, I know it's not right to accuse people, but frankly, if you aren't all out lying, you're at least stretching the truth. I read your vent about being a spoiled brat and materialistic, and, well, it does seem to me that you seem a bit obsessed with saying that "you have money" and such. To tell the truth though, nobody cares about that, and it just seems like bragging to say it so often. Plus, in my experience, when people assert something like that often, without really any reason, it's because it's not true and they want people to believe it. Either way, someone spending 50 thousand on a party doesn't make it any better than one that's had less than $1000, or even $100, spent on it.

Oh silly it was airbursh tatoos! (; Of course I whouldnt get a real one, at my age. And I dont know if they where appetizers, but they brought that out and then brought more food (soup, salad and lizania) so i consider it an appetizer personally. And as for the money? She spent the money not me, the reason I added that detail is because she bought alot of stuff to give out free like personalized snuggies and stuff? Thats why I added that so youd relize how fancy it was, wich im not bragging about for me, but lets face it, free stuff? Gotta love it! And if you dont agree im sorry, but i for one love free stuff, but it cost money to give it out wich i once again why i added that.

In sevral of my vents, my vents secretlly involved that detail. For example in the snotty brat one? People have said its because I have money, and like i added on it, i LIKE bargain brands, and clearnce racks, and the reason i added it on that is because just because you have it dosent mean you like to spend it. As for the other ones, im not going to go into detail to refrain from arguemnt, but I dont go into deeply my real personal stuff on vp belive it or not. I hate, hate hate hate, talkiung about money, but in some way my vents involved it, wather i shared that part or not. Its a vent , and in vent people say stuff like that, vents are like rambly and petty sometimes you know?

And you chould be right about that last comment, but lets face it, your first fancy party is an experince. The lights, the food, and free stuff? Its nice, its like a wedding and i added that money detail because i wanted to make it clear. to get confusioon out, its not MY batmitfa.....
 • also just to add i love "100$" partys, honestly i do. You know pizza, movies and nail polish? The reason being at this one was so speacial is because i got an excuse to dress up and veiw other cultures, it being fancy was just a huge bonus.

Ang honestly I was hoping for someone to share an experince of a batmitfa theyve been to, what they did, what religuous things happend? If so please share, honestly i wasnt looking for contriversy (;
 • Wasn't trying to attack you, just to make that clear.. Maybe you should have talked more about what happened and what it was like and explained a bit more...? The only thing I really took offense to is the idea of someone spending 50k on a party... seems like a bit of a waste of money, especially in this economy... and when a party costs as much as a buying a house... I find that a bit ridiculous.

 • Ah yes I need to be more clear. Im just such a lazy typer :P And i abosolutley agree, way to much on a party. Way-to-much. I havent even had a party since I was like 6, and shes had like 4 this year (cRaZy!) Oddly to she seemed very stressed there, for all the money she spent. o.O
 • That sounds like it a pretty special day out :D I think it would be great to experience something like that, I've never been to a Bat Mitzvah.

I've accompanied my parents to some fancy work parties before, but I found them a bit intimidating because they were so formal xD We don't have a lot of money so I don't really understand how people can spend so much on celebrations, whether it be weddings, birthdays or just general parties. It's their money though, so I try not to judge them, and to me it is just exciting and fascinating because it's so different to what I'm used to :)

What other sort of things did they have there? And did you get a cool airbrush tattoo? :P

 • Lol agreed, way to much on a party, yet such a exiting experince. The had boogie heads, and aribrush, wich i got like 50 lol, tons of dance contest (wich i soooo whould have one, the guy actully was like, "looks like we have a winnnnerrrr") untill some kid did a worm, and break danced and then he one... )= Being so close to the people that where there (even though latley it hasnt felt that way...) I didnt partake in many acitivtys nor did they. Even though there was SO much to do, we talked and danced all night!
And if you do ever go, you will love it!
