I hadn't noticed. =o I'm really... really REALLY not partial to it. It makes it look like a shady, cheap, spur-of-the-moment website... *sigh* The giant JOIN US NAO link on the old front page was bad enough... Well, at least progress is being made, so I'm pleased to see at least something's getting done.

It'll encourage more younger kids to join I think, but anyone about 14 will probably find it kinda.. childish looking. ._. It makes me just want to block the images on the front page. xD

Uhh, I still like the very first vp front page. It didn't look 'childish' to me. Im not really sure I like this at all.. but I'm sure others may like it better. I just hope the game doesn't get too childish or I may not be staying too long. Like kyt said, Im liking how things are getting done at least.

I can agree about the front page. I'm not too fond of it, but hopefully the whole VP won't be totally altered to that or along with Kaitie, I'd be out for the count.

Not to be blunt, but if i where new i whouldnt join. Espically the big blue pup? Id make me think its a game where you get a puppy and play fetch. I dislike it extremly....

Agreed, it looks cheap and low budget flashy. Like all the other adoptable websites, thats probably why I joined this one. It looked more professional, but atleast changes are being made.

Well, the blue dog is gone. It's been replaced by a very pixelated spaniel. That's much better! But, in all honesty, I still am not a huge fan.

I definitely like the old page better. This one doesn't even match the actual layout of the game. Or does this mean we should be expecting even more formatting changes as far as the actual game goes?

Unfortunately, it looks like the type of games I would skip over when I first began the hunt for a dog sim game at 10. I can promise you, if it had looked like that when I was looking, I wouldn't be here. Or at least I wouldn't have been here as long if the log in page had been changed to something more professional looking. It's not competitive at all with leading dog sim games. :c

Does anyone else find that the 'free' banner slapped in the corner doesn't help? It makes me think of those 'As Seen On TV' ripoff commercials.

... I seriously could make a front page for VP o.O The cropping out of that dog is horrible... If the game masters want, I wouldn't mind making a nicer looking front page xD I can't do coding, but I can do the background part anyway o.o Examples... They look at all the boards. Maybe not as much as Ops do, but they look and we also point out any "important" threads in case they may not have seen them

Guys, you may not like the new page but maybe try not to be so harsh...? It sounds kind of rude considering they obviously want to add new things to the game and are working hard. I see that there are going to be trivia nights, that's a big plus. I really don't think the front page is a big deal.

I appreciate everything they're doing as well, don't get me wrong. I just don't think the front page makes VP look as great as it is. Just personal opinion. I understand they are working hard, and I do think the front page needed to be updated to something a little more catching, I just am not certain the new one is what needs to be done, considering it kind of throws the site off to me. The front page does sort of matter, considering it's a first impression. If I walked into a site like that, I would probably turn away from it. I think we're all just trying to be honest ;D And I'm not trying to say my work is perfect or anything either o.o I was just making an offer.

Ok, I sounded harsh as well, but the front page to me doesn't seem like my type of game, well, how it's shown there. I simply concluded that it would attract a different type of crowd than I would be used of or would like. That's my opinion there. I just don't want to have it all kid-silly and beyond cartoony dogs. I joined the site because it looked like a strategy type of game and not the "ADOPT A PET NOW! FEED IT! GROOM IT! SHOW IT! PUT CLOTHES ON IT! MAKE IT CUTE!" like other sites I've saw. *shudders* I prefer the more graphic-awesome looking dog games and such. The very first VP layout wasn't much, but the game was fun enough for me. The frontpage just didn't suit my taste. However, I'm glad the new owners are working and making adjustments for the game. =]
