7 Day Photography Challenge// Over

I thought it would be fun to try and get a picture in ever day for a week. I'm pretty bad at practicing and working at my hobbies so I thought this may help! Anyone is able to join in If you want to join in, just fill out the form below when you first post. ;D

Try to keep it nice and updated ^-^, you'll fill in the days as you go. I will give anyone that keeps at it for the week 2mil vpc as an incentive. General Guidelines -Your center of interest should not be in the center. You can use programs to crop your picture so that it isn't in the center or just watch how you frame your picture when you take it. -Photos should be in focus -You are allowed to touch-up but don't completely manipulate. You may do things like brightness/contrast, enhancing colors, putting on resonable filters. You can't warp it by adding text, merging multiple pictures, etc. Just think 'photo' not 'manipulation'. -Please don't use old pictures. This is to help progress and learn. These are just basic things to watch for. This challenge isn't necessarily just people who have nice cameras and do this a lot as a hobby. You can do this for fun. I just want to see that you actually tried for your picture and you just didnt randomly point and shoot without much thought or effort. Ideas for Subjects -You can create a story with the pictures. Each new one for the day is like a chapter -Take them all in black and white -Use the same topic throughout (butterflies, trees, person, etc) -Google a random word generator for ideas -Portray a different mood each day -Have a different color theme on every entry I thought maybe this would help for people that aren't sure what to take pictures of. I hope this gives some ideas and gets you moving along. Dates: Oct. 1st- Oct 8th ***NOTE: You are allowed to put up pictures late. If you took one on a Friday and wasn't able to finish touching it up or uploading, its fine to turn it in Saturday. The point was that you got the picture on Friday. Please keep your dimmensions under 700 for the width and height Feel free to critique others and/or give them advice.

Tarn I -love- your Friday photograph

The composition and colours are just fantastic! That's a really cute dress by the way :P I'm very annoyed. The spring flowers are just blooming like crazy! And then it had to rain D; correction; it had to downpour and bucket and I think there was hail too! There goes my subjects D; Hopefully there will be some survivors at the end of the week!

Ooo....this like fun!! Great idea Tarn! Lyc's Pic-omaniac! (October 1st) Friday: <img src="http://i53.tinypic.com/2u88k5x.jpg"; alt="http://i53.tinypic.com/2u88k5x.jpg"; class="bb-image" /> The Spider next door D; (I don't have an actual camera, so I either have to use my cell phone or my laptop) I took a few pics with my laptop but you can't see the pretty web and the spider moved. So, I'll just use the picture of from my camera instead. The spiderweb is about 3 feet wide, 2 feet tall and the spider is about 2 or 3 inches big. This is by far the biggest spider I've seen here where I live. Satuday: <img src="http://i54.tinypic.com/8zmc2f.jpg"; alt="http://i54.tinypic.com/8zmc2f.jpg"; class="bb-image" /> Lack of sleep + boredom = a 2 hour make up session into looking what people are calling, "The Crow." Woo, I'm glad to see so many pictures! Yesterday for me was raining and just plain nasty out so I couldn't get outside to photograph my favorite thing- bailey. xD So I have to do double time. When I said anyone is welcome to join, I meant it. Even if we're partway through! I think this is just fun to see the wide range of subjects, creativity, and such.

I tried to comment on everyones so far. Let me know if I somehow forgot you: Ana: Friday- I love how the sky looks and that the geese lead back to the boat making your eyes follow around the picture. It looks very pretty there

Saturday- It looks like almost a perfect little star. I like how you added the ribbon in there. Mysterous: Friday- Is that like a hiking trail? It looks nice back there and I wish I had a place to walk like that nearby! Saturday- Thats neat how you tried to get the basketball in midair. I hadn't thought of doing that when I had my basketball pictures.

Clozo: Friday- Ooh what is that!?

Such a cute little thing! I like how your background is all blurred in the back. The off center thing is a general rule of art and it can be broken if you know how to do it right. It was a basic remainder and not a rule you -had- to follow to post.

Saturday- Those flowers are neat shaped. They look all pretty and healthy which is funny because around here, things are dying for fall. Looks nice and sharp there. Garnet: Friday- The cloud almost looks like a hand there. I love seeing pictures of clouds but I've never tried to get one myself. The light behind it stops it from being just a normal cloud and makes it more special. Satuday- Is that your horse? He looks very pretty. These aren't bad for using a cell phone. I know my phone sucks for taking pictures! Lyc: Friday- How fitting for October xD. I would be too scared to get close to that spider. So creepy! It's neat that you got the web in there. Those are usually hard to see. Saturday- I thought Jester when I saw it. Don't know how they got crow.. xD. Its kind of creepy! I like it though! Zag: Friday- What kind of camera are you using? Usually if you find a nicely-lit area and take the flash off you can avoid the 'demon eye'. Most point and shoots should have the option to take it off though you may have to explore the guide on it. And I like your friday photo! I've taken a lot like that of my dog. Something about catching their expressions is fun! Saturday- Ooh a still life. I am horrible at those for some reason. Your figure looks adorable and you can easily tell what it is. If I tried that.. someone would guess that its a 'potato'. Yea! That's my new horse, Jasper! We still gotta fatten him up some more though. He was starved where we bought him from! We are taking him to the vet as soon as my dad has his next days off to get him checked out and up to date on all his shots and tests. Haha! Some of the pics on my phone suck! I have a Motorola Q9H with an integrated 2.0 megapixel camera. Along with digital zoom and LED photo indicator light

It's a Canon Rebel XS and the pic was taken at like... 11:30 that night. My room was dark and I didn't really have "perfect" in mind. lol I have a hundred million photos of her face, exactly like that one. lol I love my Saturday photo. My Sunday pic should be up soon.

Thank you. ^^ Friday was an awesome day to go out there, and I also like how the geese were placed just right. Otherwise you would have gotten to see a boring landscape, heh. As far as the apple/star goes, I found out about that sometime earlier this year but never took a picture of them. They look like nice little stars -- and thank you for the ribbon comment.

And tarnish, I love your Friday picture! The dress is adorable and I love the colors overall. Did you add a filter or anything?

It's just a plain common lizard we found indoors xD So we captured it and took it outside

Garnet: He just looks gorgeous. I never had any experiences with horses but it would be cool if a local barn let me in to get some pictures of them. I tell ya, phone cameras.. *shudders*. Usually takes me awhile to get something decent. Like I said, yours don't seem too bad.

Your sunday picture is nice! We actually talked about using arches and such for framing on pictures

Ana: You're welcome! That was pretty rare for animals to cooperate for once. Lucky 'ducky' (ok that was lame of me xD). Thanks! I actually took that around sunset but it wasn't very bright at the time so I had to lighten the picture up a lot, play with brightness/contrast, and fix colors. Perhaps trying focusing on one interesting leaf and having the colourful tree in the background? Sillhoutes(sp?) are nice too ;P I dunno I'm a bit of a macro nut xD If you havnt already figuired that out >.> Love the one of your dog, Bailey is it? (can't remember sorry xD) Her eyes are so pretty

Yea! You should definitely try the local barn

Just, if they do let you in to take a few pictures, be careful of where you stand and I wouldn't recommend walking inside one of their stalls 0.0 Also, may want to put your camera/phone on silent mode. Sudden noise sometimes spooks horses. I'm sure you know not to get behind them without letting them know you are there and not to get yourself between them and a wall

I just don't want you to get hurt trying to capture their beauty

"Jasper's Tunnel" is actually just a natural "Tunnel" in our fence line.. It used to have a chain link fence with a gate right there so there were no trees there and the ones on either side grew out and formed that lil "Tunnel" xD I take anywhere from 4-10 pics before I get one I want to use. have OCD and it even shows in my photography sometimes.. I try to make everything even and straight =/ I've been working on taking slanted photos or sideways photos but they bug the mess outta me till I delete them.. Tomorrows picture is going to be posted late as well! I'm going to TRY to get a picture of Jasper as the sun goes down. If I can do it, I'm going to sit in front of him and try to catch the sunset between his ears when he lowers his head to nuzzle me xD Dunno how thats gonna go though haha wish me luck. I love everyones pictures btw! =D Every time I see a spider one though, I get chills Dx I hate spiders..

Haha! They are really pretty and great subjects to take photos of! I don't know why I get chills but EVERY time I see one of them I'm like *shivers* and my mom looks over and is like "whats wrong?" .. "spider. 'nuff said.." .. *mom laughs at me* xD
