Breeding kennels

So, after trying to fix the stats bonus for breeding kennels and it not being too successful, Ari tried again and with him and four Ops testing first, we think he has success.<br><br>Breeding kennels with 100 breeding skill now have a visible advantage on pup stats over non breeding kennels and the problem created with the first attempt at fixing it, with the points at which more stars are given, are back to normal again. We couldn't find any other glitches with this specific change, but the players are the best ones to find any we may have missed.<br><br>Let us know if you find anything amiss or put a ticket in through support so we can get word to Ari so he can look at it.

    They weren't working before. From what I understand, they're fixed. Finally. <3

    From my understanding (and sorry Bama for trying to answer this question, if I'm incorrect D8) breeding kennels, up til now, have never given the promised raised stats compared to non-breeding kennels (it was a glitch/bug/etc, not on purpose, of course. It was only recently noticed). Now pups born in breeding kennels (if the kennel has 100 fame in breeding) with have higher birth stats by a certain percent than if they were not born in breeding kennels.

    Go right on ahead, Kazuko, you're answering just right. 8) <br><br>The only ones who know exactly how it works are Ari, admin2 and probably Nef. Nef thought she'd fixed it a while back, but it was brought back to our attention a couple weeks ago, so we got together a bunch of examples (Thanks to Tarnish who gave some as well), gave them to admin1 and explained what should be happening to see if there was a bonus that we just couldn't see or if there was something wrong.<br><br>He found a problem eventually that seemed to be keeping the stats from getting the boost from being born on breeding kennels and fixed it. However, that "fix" caused some other problems. It seemed the only stats were getting actual boosts were Hyper and Adaptability and Nickel pointed out that it had also raised the point at which more stars were given. So he went code diving again over the weekend and seems to have fixed both the stat problem and the star problem.

    Thanks Kaz and Bama.<br>So does this mean that some breeds, the ones stuck below 10x4, might be able to achieve higher stars?

    Could be, I know while testing, one of VooDoo's breeds, that she's been breeding for 10X4 for a looong time made it to 10X4 the first litter after the change.

    Im still confuzed )= One more question. So your saying that instead of breeding entire lines to get 10x4s, you just raise the stats and there 10x4s?

    <br><br>No, the increase isn't that great. VooDoo's dogs went to 10X4, but they had been at 9X4 for a long time. Someone might be able to confirm, but it looked as if lower birth stats increased more than higher stats. So at 2 and 3 stars, my dogs saw between 4 and 5 points, while some of Ori and Zoe's dogs at 3 and 4 stars didn't get that much. This morning, a player who didn't know about the bonus was concerned because their 4 star pup's strength birth stat increased by one, they thought it was a glitch making the stat too high. <br><br>You'll still have to work for 10X4's when starting from imports. That challenge hasn't been removed, otherwise, every breed would have 10X4 today and everyone would be bored tomorrow. <br><br>If you'll breed a pair today on a breeding kennel and compare their pups from before or breed the same pair on a non breeding kennel, you should be able to see a difference. Maybe that'll help you understand.
