HELP ME FIND GIBBS (HES FOUND!)

edited August 2010 in General Discussion
My boyfriend was smart and left his apartment door unlocked so when he awoke the door was open and Gibbs (our cat) was GONE! I am pissed beyond belief but too sad to care right now, I just want to find Gibbs. I posted an ad online and he told the front office and they said they will look for him and talk to everyone they can, and he walked around the neighborhood but still to no avail...he just went missing this morning, I'd rather him be stolen than ran off because at least he has a home and he's not dead. And I can't deal with a FOURTH death of an animal I love, I've really become attached to him these pass months so I don't care if you live in Africa, if you see this cat please let me know. <br><br>He has had all his shots, testing, and his neutering done and he passed with flying colors, he is playful and friendly and I just want my kitty back. <br><br><img src="http://i35.tinypic.com/eas0gz.jpg"; alt="http://i35.tinypic.com/eas0gz.jpg"; class="bb-image" /><br><br><img src="http://i38.tinypic.com/208a52p.jpg"; alt="http://i38.tinypic.com/208a52p.jpg"; class="bb-image" /><br><br><img src="http://i38.tinypic.com/1zx5b8h.jpg"; alt="http://i38.tinypic.com/1zx5b8h.jpg"; class="bb-image" />

  • Post pictures all over the neighborhood. If he's friendly, a kid may have picked him up and taken him home, not knowing. So post pictures and keep walking around calling his name and asking people if they've seen him.

  • I will be doing that when I get up there Sunday, I have all the pictures of him. But, the front office said they will keep an eye out for him and tell everyone they can. Jeffrey also called animal control and all they said was that they don't pick up cats and that we just have to "hope" he returns, I'm thinking he went across the street into the woods - but he grew up in an apartment complex so he has a really good sense of direction and I guess all we can do now is sit and wait. We left food and water out for him too.
  • Aw, I hope you find him. Keep us updated. My friend lost her cat and it came back home within a few days. Don't give up and like bama said, post pictures everywhere. Also see if you can post online anywhere.

  • Still haven't found him, I sent Jeffrey a poster through email and he said he would post it by the mailbox's so that everyone sees it.<br>Thinking about getting a live trap.
  • I'm sorry he got lost :( I lost my kitty earlier this year (left the window open, he fell out) and I looked all day for him. Finally found him at the end of the day when I heard his jingle bell out in my barn. Does your little Gibbs wear a collar with a bell? I found it was really handy in times like this. But you're doing good by posting pictures and calling people and stuff, I'm sure it will definitely help. I hope you find him! *hug*
  • Now that you mention it...he ripped his bell off last night and started chewing on it. -_-<br>When we first brought him home I was putting on his ID tag that we got with the vets office name, number, etc. and Jeffrey said "You don't have to put that on him right now" now I am wish I would have...

  • He was by the door, came back for some food. xD<br>It's a good thing he grew up in an apartment complex, because all the apartments look the same - but I guess that doesn't matter with cats.
