I shouldnt be scared to sleep

Ugh so a few weeks ago I had a scary incadent, especially being young (im under 13)<br>. My dads an alcoholic. Hes never hit, or like hurt people (i dont think) but its been extremly close, and he swears and yada yada. So it was ten at night in bed. My bedroom was facing my baby bros, where my step mom was sleeping (probolly because she knew he was drunk...) and i saw him walk in and say "What the **** are you doing ****. What the **** is wrong with you!" and then I heard my step mom yell Jamie what are you doing, stop jamie" and it was pretty bad, I head somthing drop to, so like I said im young and I was scared and it was so bad it sounded like he was beating her! So I ran downstairs (dad chased me a little and gave up) out the door and to someones house (I had to knock on two houses before someone awnserd) and they called the police. Well both parents made up a story so dad didnt get in trouble, but dad had to stay at a friends for the night. And my step mom was gratefull, because even thought he didnt physically hurt her, it deffiantly whould have escalted to that if I didnt do anything. And theres 3 babys in the house so it whould have been bad.<br> Ever since, I cant sleep. Thats why you might see my on vp afterhours. for the next 2 weeks after, I slept with scissors under my pillow. Then and stil at every loud noise I heare, I run downstairs. When tvs on loud and its swearing (dad likes his action movies) I run and listen. Well this time it wasnt fake. Stepmom was out cleaning car, and she came in and I heard dad say "What the _____ where you doing out there ____" so I ran down, heart beating rapidly.... and it was nothing, well he was mean but it was nothing. I shouldnt have to do this. Jump at these silly things.... <br> And im so glad i did something the one time, if you had heard he story my step mom had to say...... shed probolly be hurt right now.<br> Also please if your going to comment, you may put your2 sense in, just dont be mean... my heart is still beaing from step mom cleaning car incadent

    That's scary. I'm really sorry you have to go through this. If it gets really bad and starts happening a lot...I'd consider doing something about it. Your safety and your family's safety should come first. Especially with 3 babies. Anyways, I really hope this gets better for you soon.

    My brother was underaged drinking and he was only a bit older than I. I think we were around 16-17 and he hit me with a chair. I had bad bruising around my left eye. It got so serious I told my school what was happening. I'm not going to go further except for he was in serious trouble, and eventually got help with his drinking problems.<br><br>:) If you need to talk to me about anything please don't heisitate to pm me I'm open ears.
