UGH! Mother!

edited August 2010 in Vent
Okay, so this is my first vent about my mom.. I usually try to keep quiet about it on here, but my dad isn't here so I can't vent to him..

This time, I have NO idea what set her off.. We were just leaving Walmart and she suddenly got all mad and threw a hissy fit in the truck. She talks SO loud even during NORMAL conversation. She just has one of those voices, ya know? It actually hurt my ears..

We get to Baskin Robbins and she complains LOUDLY about the line.. I'm like "Momma, if you don't like the line then let's go to the room." She told me to shut up and go sit with my dad.

We get back to the room and I go to take a shower; so when I'm in there about to start heating up the water I hear her say "She packed too many dang clothes! Look, she didn't eve wear these jeans!" No mom, I didn't. We were originally gonna be here another three days. We decided YESTERDAY to go home TOMORROW. I don't have TIME to wear all hose clothes unless i changed at least twice today..

Then, she is straightening the bed a little and asks "Do you want the top sheet under the blanket?" "yes Ma'am" then she starts cussing about it and slinging the blanket off the bed and yelling. Spilling a cup of coke in the process and then starts cussing even MORE. Like literally EVERY OTHER WORD was a cuss word..

Then my dad leaves to go dry the clothes and go listen to bluegrass. When he leaves she starts saying "I wish I had never met him. Hes so effin stupid." Then she starts cussing AGAIN..

To top it all off, she breaks her sunglasses and starts cussing yet AGAIN!!! I'm SO sick of being here with her! I'm ready to go home and spend all my time at Joey's house, away from her! *sigh*

/end rant

Lots of lemonade and icecream anyone who reads and/or gives advice..

 • Sounds like ya got it ruff. Your moms not a bad person, shes just got something going on you dont know about. Juts tell her you love her, and let her scream and dont yell. I know it sucks and seems unfair, because its not. Theres nothing you can do acept love her
 • I do love her very much, it's just hard to deal with it.. I'm not the type of person that can sit there and get yelled at.. I have a temper and I have a habit of making smart remarks when someone says something stupid or annoying to me.. My dad knows me well enough that before i can even say anything he will cut his eyes at me and give me this look meaning "shut up dani. leave her alone" its just so frustrating ya know?

Still its like tot says. The only thing you can do is let it go and tell her you love her. I'm bipolar so I get mad about almost everything. It doesn't take much to tick me off, but my husband still comes up to me and says "I love you sweetie" and then we just keep going.

 • Yea, you guys are right. Best thing to do is love her and move on. It's just tough to deal with sometimes =(
 • I totally get where youre coming from. My mom randomly gets mad about everything. Like one minute shes fine and then she gets mad about something, wont tell you what it is, and then sits there and huffs and puffs the whole rest of the day and gets mad when you try and do something nice. She yelled at me for making dinner the other day, cause I spilled something and didnt notice. I just ask if theres anything I can do, let her go on, and go in my room or go outside or listen to music and let her be in her mood by herself because I dont need to deal with it.

Exactly! I do that same thing! I just let her vent and stay in my room. I usually hear her slamming cabinets closed and cussing but I just turn my music up and try to ignore it =(
