My brother has Aspergers. Very smart, not gonna lie. We'll, we're in the middle of a big storm system. Tornado warning for our county, because my area is in this big red spot of the storm.

He keeps saying "OMGWEREGONNADIEIMTOOYOUNGTODIEIDONTWANNADIEPLEASEKAYTEEIDONTWANNADIE!!!"

Brian, I can't control the weather, I'm sorry. NC is too hilly for a tornado to do something severe, like what happens there in Tornado Ally or whatever.

Anyhow, I'm off to get dressed for just in case sakes. -_- Honestly, I think they need to start putting basements in these houses that we don't have to pay extra for, and I think they need to stop airing damn soap operas on the news channel.

Like I don't have an issue with my brother, he just drives me crazy, because he's highly functional [he knows that he's autistic], and uses it to not do any work.

I.e,
Mom: Brian clean your room.
Him: -throws fit-
Mom [after many minutes of this]: Why are you throwing a fit?
Him: I have autism, remember?

So, he knows he's autistic. And he uses it against him. He throws fits in school, and we ask him why, and he goes "because i have autism! I can't help it!"

/minirant

He'll understand eventually that he can go so far in life without his disabilities stopping him.

My cousin has Aspergers, and she used to be like that when she was little, but she didn't use it as an excuse. She was just awful to be around, and sometimes I don't think they can really help it, but as she's grown up and matured, her attitude has improved so much. Your brother is much more outgoing than she is, she's very quiet and reserved and doesn't really talk to people often. She has to approach you, or she feels uncomfortable. But she's smart as hell and when given the time to get to know her and let her get to know you, she's truly a beautiful person. <3

Kaz said that with Aspergers, you go two different ways. Either they never talk or they never shut up.
Well, I just meant he'll probably eventually grow out of the 'give me this because I'm autistic' thing. He needs to know what Aspergers is, and how little it will affect him in the future if he takes advantage of what he can do. Maybe you should research a lot into it, sit down with your parents and your brother and put everything into terms someone his age can understand. Just from being around him I know he's not dumb, he holds conversation very well. Aspergers is one of the most high functioning types of autism, and people with it are usually fine living on their own later in life, unlike people with lower functioning types. Maybe helping him understand what Aspergers (or just autism in general) is, it would be easier on him and everyone around him.

He's got a good chance of being a schizophrenic later on in life, so chances are he'll never move out. He's pretty spoiled, but like you said, very smart, and not an idiot [though he acts like it sometimes]. My parents know how he acts, and my mom, being in the medical field, knows about autism and has told me about it, and quite frankly, I don't want an autistic child, just because my patience is not that of a saint, and they're wayyy too high maintenance for me. All kids are high maintenance, but he's constantly running around, and he's here and there and destroys the house... D<
