Well, in the UK, there has recently been weather hot enough that you can actually get sunburnt :shock: and.. well, it hurts. ALOT. We've been out in the sun recently, as it's been the last week of school. eg. On Thursday, we went on a school trip to France. As my head of year puts it 'I'm not really sure what the point was.. The educational one I mean by that. As far as I'm concerned, all we really did was walk around, buying food and ice cream, then sit on a beach and play for a few hours.' Anyway, a girl in my year has VERY pale skin, and her shoulders were extremely burnt, practically the colour of salmon. And yesterday, Friday, was sports day. At my school (I don't know the customs in America / Australia ect.) we have houses, which basically means the groups we are devided into for forms / school events and such. Anyway, we all get very patriotic and a great deal of facepaint was used. My friend painted the name in giant, blue letters on both arms.. and then a rabbit above my left one. xD (Im not gonna say it's name, because it's the road name the school is on >.<) What everyone seemed to forget, was than it was sunny. And what happens when it's sunny? You tan / burn. And sun rays dont go through paint. >.< I now have a rabbit and an 'h' emblazoned into my upper arm. Pale marks, then red bits. GREAT

I also had to do hurdles.. Against people who's shoulders I come up to.. And end up coming last and smacking my knee against one, due to the fact that I'm short and have little legs, so I have to take off early xD I also missed the 1500m race.. Which I got forced into entering.. Whether missing it was a good or bad thing, I don't know

*Finally in my little, random vent* SPEECH DAY. Erg. Seriously, If you have never had to pointlessly sit though several hours of random people making speeches about nothing, then you have not experianced true, painful boredom. Especially when it is about 35C outside (95F) and 40C inside the tent. (100+F) (I think they are right conversions.) I also forgot my waterbottle.. and got heat exhaustion.. when I got home, I went to bed and slept for 5 hours xD So, thats my random, pathetic, little vent. Care to share experiances?

Psh. In case you were wondering, Harestone WON sports day xD For the house that comes last in EVERYTHING, we were rather proud

We definatly have the best house spirit. The head of house, has re-chirstened it 'Mighty H*name*.' and when we won, another teacher would stand up and shout 'MIGHTY' then we'd all scream 'H*name*.' Beat that others

I'm very pale and sensitive to light. I burn so quick you could probably sit down and watch it happen. lol, I just avoid sitting in the sun nowadays.

I also forgot my waterbottle.. and got heat exhaustion.. when I got home, I went to bed and slept for 5 hours xD

Please be careful and see a doctor if it happens again. I've experienced both heat exhaustion, and a heat stroke.

How hot did it get there? 0.0 I'm like Sushi. I burn VERY easily.. If I stand in the sun for more than 10-15 minutes I burn horribly. =( Heat exhaustion isn't something to play with. It can be very dangerous =( My brother has actually passed out from working out in the heat. We almost lost him because of it. So please, be very careful =(

It was a high of 35 degres celcuis outside at one point. And for here, thats pretty hot. There was a crowd of just under a thousand people in the tent though.. So temperatures were higher and muggy.. At the HE thing, It was pretrty minor, my mum made me go straight inside and put on aload of fans.. And drink a lot of water. (Slowly though.)
