You should be able to find the GIMP folder you downloaded into, open it, find the folder that says "fonts", and you -should- see them.

That's what I was looking at..
But the fonts only has the ones that have been downloaded..

I'm trying to remove all the preset ones that come on gimp, because they're obnoxious and repetitive.

I'm not sure if you can delete presets, unless you go into the entire GIMP system, and that might possibly screw up the coding... I think they have to be there.

You should be able to go into the gimp folder and select GIMP.download or whatever the main GIMP file is. I seriously don't think you can delete them. Just screw around with it for a while, you might find the preset folder D;

How many fonts does GIMP come installed with? I just downloaded it and just about everyone are standard fonts(the kind that come with most computers), or fonts I've downloaded, and then added to my computer.

From a quick search it sounds like GIMP reads font files from your computer, and from the fonts directory in the GIMP files. If there aren't any files in the fonts folder of GIMP, then they are most likely on your computer.

To access the fonts on your computer do this:
Click "my computer"
Click "Local Disk (C: )"
Click the folder that says "WINDOWS"
Click the folder that says "Fonts"
In other words: C:\WINDOWS\Fonts

Just delete the ones you don't use. However, I wouldn't suggest deleting your computer's standard fonts. To be on the safe side, make a backup copy of the folder, and then start deleting.

BAHAHAHAHA! Fail. There probably isn't a way.

Oh, with some google searching and experimenting, I think I figured something out!!

1.Open GIMP
2.In the top bar click "Edit"
3.Go down the list and click "Preferences" A box should have popped up.
4.On the left, find the tab that says "Folders", and expand it to find the that says "Fonts"
5. Click the "Fonts" tab.
6.After clicking the "Fonts" tab you should see a kind of list thing that says "C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\.gimp-2.6\fonts" in it.
7. Click on the "C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\.gimp-2.6\fonts" and then click the trash can symbol. It should have removed it from the list.
8. Now click the paper icon and type in "C:\WINDOWS\Fonts" or click the folder and find "C:\WINDOWS\Fonts" like I mentioned in my last post.
9. Make sure "C:\WINDOWS\Fonts" is now in the list by clicking on the list if it wasn't already there.
10. Click ok.

I can't really tell if it works since I have over 200+ fonts in C:\WINDOWS\Fonts.

If that doesn't work then you probably need knowledge on the fontconfig thing GIMP is set up to use, or you would have know how to edit the coding. I don't really know much about either.
