Summers been just PERFECT.*sarcasm*
Mom got a new job, I have to watch my brother all day and most of the night, and to add to it, they've given me a freaking back brace to try to help the scoliosis. DSGHAdfjklhgsd fjoyghjklsdfa.
It's big, plastic, painful, stupid, doesn't help at all, and I feel like just dying. It's hot. Sweaty. Gross. I'm already done growing so there's no freaking point to it. And to add to all that crap, all my friends are "jealous" because I'm going to have a small waist. If I want to look annorexic, I'll be annorexic. It's unhuman. I hate it. It not only makes my back hurt, but also my head, eyes, feet, legs, everything. I have bruises everywhere. I try to stand up and I fall down. Yesterday, I fell on the kitchen floor and gave myself a goose egg on my forehead. The chiropractor has already told my mom that I've been done growing, so it won't help at all. But the man making $6,000 off of it told my mom that it'll still train my spine to be straight.

And to add to THAT, I've been tired all the time, my head always hurts, and I've been sinking into a depression. I have bad dreams all the time. I'll dream about coming home to my family dead, or my family killing me, all kinds of stuff. It's really starting to scare me, not the dreams but that something might be wrong with me.

 • Oh Pepper :( A very close friend of mine has just undergone two major ops for extremely bad scoliosis. She's had to wear back braces for years.. Maybe you should book an appointment with your GP? There could be something like anaemia or such, which could be causing the extreme tiredness? Anyway, hope you fell better soon. *huggles*

 • My mom has had scoliosis since she was a child. She has 2 metal rods and wire in her back and brace her spine the wires to hold her rib cage to her spine.
She was in a back brace for over two years and underwent 12 surgeries.
She still has many issues with her back even now. Any wrong step that she takes will mess her back up. It's also caused other problems such as complications with her pregnancies and such.

The back brace will most likely help, the doctors are -supposed- to know best.

Start taking some time to relax before bed. Think about the good things in your life...

As everyone else has said, i'm also here if you need anything.

 • O.O goodness. Mine is 33 degrees I think. I don't really keep up with it. Nothing that's going to keep me from having children or anything.

Mine was a 65 degree curve in my upper back. They told me it would never stop growing and by the time i was 20 it would have entered my heart and lungs and killed me =3

 • I know it seems bad now, but you'll probably get used to it.Think about it as if it was a new pair of shoes. At first they are stiff and slightly uncomfortable, but then you break them in and you're no longer bothered by them.

I think it could still help your spine, even if you are done growing. Bones are amazing. It might not be a HUGE difference, but I'm sure that over the years it will do something.

As for your nightmares, you're probably getting them due to stress. I know I'll get really bad nightmares similar to yours whenever I'm under a lot of stress, or when I'm worrying about something. There isn't anything necessarily wrong with you. Your body is most likely overreacting because you're all wound up. Are you on any medication that alters brain chemicals? A lot of them are known to cause vivid dreams/nightmares that can be reoccurring. If you can, find a way to calm down and relax. Eliminate your stress as soon as you can, and hopefully the dreams/nightmares will begin to go away.
