Nice to know what all was happening and all that jazz. xD Welcome to VP, I hope we'll all see you around a lot. It's kinda weird to welcome new owners. xD; Never done THAT before. ._. But it's a good kinda weird, because usually when sites are sold, they kinda die. But yeah. Uh. Welcome to VP, I'm sure VP will remain great, if not grow better. It'll be nice for this site to get some well-deserved updates.

My hope is that VP will improve as a result of this. Many of the old members have been displaying feelings of discontent over what is perceived as a decline of the quality of the game overall. If pressed, I am more than able to compile a list of reasons that people feel it is losing quality. I also hope that this change of ownership will alleviate the VP community's feelings of being overlooked and left by the wayside. There has been more discontent on this front than any others. I often find myself in the middle, and I cannot tell you how many times people have wondered why VHR gets upgrades to their forums when a year later VP is still floundering through an incomplete help index (let alone upgraded forums or even a change in site appearance), and this is only one example. There are a lot of things that need to be addressed over time, and I for one am going to be optimistic and hope for the best. I don't think anyone will immediately forget feeling as though the wool's been pulled over their eyes, or as though the community has somehow been gotten rid of, but I think it was a misunderstanding based on the best of intentions by those higher up. If the new owners are interested in the feedback of their user base with regard to issues they have with the site, this change has a great deal of potential, and I think we can cautiously assume the best. Remember guys, even if you don't know the new owners, this is as big an investment for them as ours into VP, and they have every reason to want us to be happy and the game as a whole to improve for the best.

Pfft if we told you the day it changed hands you'll all still have made a drama about it =p VP isn't too hot with accepting changes! Yes, I wish we could have told you a bit earlier but not our place! At least it is not a secret anymore -breathes a sigh of relief-. Personally, if I was clueless to it all I would have been happy with the new ownership and amazing updates that have happened in the last month, from the tiny spelling corrections to the awesome support ticket service and automatic paypal! =O I am still in love with that. And you many all have been worked up about your money going to strangers, but seriously when you walk into a shop or go to a market, you don't know those people. You don't know where your money is going to go after it has exchanged hands. Who knows if they have card detail copying device to steal your card info. At least paypal offers some insurance if things go missing. But no one can get your bank details from paypal unless you share your login. Even though Nef is an amazing game owner, she has got herself over her head with all these games. If it was me, I'd struggle with just the one, so cookies to Nef with all these games. Now not only will her other games potentionally see more fixes/updates with one less game to worry about, VP now has pretty much the full attention of admin1 and Nate. Who so far have been amazing listening to us with the fixes we've needed, from modding tools for us to fixing the crazy characters you got from the server move. Hopefully you can come to love them as much as we have over the last month!

I started reading this thread and almost threw up. xD BUT! Welcome admin1 and Nate.

I've been playing for almost 6 years, so I must admit that an owner change is a little strange to me. Though, I'm awful excited about the updates to come. I'm also really glad, as Sushi said, that you are dog lovers. I'd hate for VP to go to poo because of a lack of interest from the owners.

Once we have a prioritized list of improvements we can dedicate our time and resources to making these betterments one at a time:) We very much appreciate your support and I agree that admin1 and I will need to gain everyone's trust through our actions - so we plan to do just that!

Who so far have been amazing listening to us with the fixes we've needed, from modding tools for us to fixing the crazy characters you got from the server move. Hopefully you can come to love them as much as we have over the last month!

Whenever someone buys a private breed $50 of the $95 goes to LifeLongFriends Animal Shelter. I was just wondering if that will stay the same or if you guys will change that. If you change it, I'd like to see some of the money go to a animal shelter somewhere still. I hope you come to love vp as many of us do. It's really a great community. There were a couple questions that missed getting answers in chaos of chat, so I'll try answering them

The lag is still being worked on. When the server was changed, some of the support tools used on the old server didn't work as well on the new server for like bots. And some of the coding also doesn't work as well. So it's taking a bit of time to sort that out, coding wise. But the site will be faster overall once it's all fixed.

There's not been a date set, though, to my understanding, it'll be a year or so, just depends on how things go. It won't be in the next few months, I'm pretty sure. We're hoping that when admin1 and admin2 do eventually take over completely, it'll have happened so gradually that it'll just happen naturally with no confusion or bumps.

Hi Triss, very nice to meet you too:) Thanks for the kind words on our work to date! Also, we will continue to work in a close team with Nef and the ops, they have been more than amazing to admin1 and I and are so important to the VP community. Yes we will continue to contribute a portion of the private breed proceeds to LifeLongFriends - we feel this is a great shelter and had learned about it months ago from Nef. We are proud that VP will remain a strong supporter!

I Hope to see all the changes and improvements you shall make to VP. I can see that already some great strides have been made in the way the game is managed, mostly the almost instant upgrades ;D I am also glad to hear that part of the proceeds VP makes will be given to a shelter to help animals that are still in need no matter who owns the site.
