Happy Rant!! =D

Last night my boyfriend, Joey, got off work at 10. Around 11 o'clock, I still hadn't heard from him and was starting to get REALLY worried, because he usually texts me as soon as he clocks out. So by this time - ask Lulu - I was freaking out.<br><br>About 11:30 Joey finally calls me. As soon as I picked up this is how the conversation started:<br><br><span style="color:violet">Me: Hello?!?!?</span><br><span style="color:cyan">Joey: I'm freaking out right now and my heart is beating soooo fast. Guess what I did tonight when I got off work!</span><br><span style="color:violet">Me: What?? Are you okay?</span><br><span style="color:cyan">Joey: I told my mom and dad that I was going to marry you!</span><br><span style="color:violet">Me: What...? Your mother must have flipped!</span><br><span style="color:cyan">Joey: No! She laughed at me and said "About time. Tell your dad when we get home" and when we got home, I told daddy I had something I needed to tell him and he laughed at me and said "I already figured it out. When are you gonna do it?" Then mom told me what I should do when your promise ring came in.</span> (<span style="font-style:italic">I already made a post about the promise ring he ordered me once before</span>)<br><br><br>So yea.. My heart was beating so fast.. and his parents were being SOOOOO nice to me this morning at church. Smiling at me when I got in the van (they have 6 kids so they have to drive a van xD) and his mom even called me baby and his dad said that I had good judgment on what was attractive and what wasn't! I was SOOOO nervous!

My dad won't let me actually get married till I graduate, but I'm going into my senior year.<br><br>Joey said he is gonna get his mom to help him pick out the actual engagement ring and wedding band. So I have a few more months till the actual thing! Joey told my mom about it this morning and the next day my dad is off work he is going to sit my dad down and talk to him! =D

    So young O.O<br>I dunno, I've already told myself I most likely won't marry until I'm 30.<br><br>Congrats though! It's great that the parents actually expected it, and accepted it. It can be a huge mess when they don't.

    Still, that's so young to me. I couldn't see myself getting married now, or in a few years when I'm 20. A lot of people seem to get married around 20 though. My sister and my mom were around 19-20.

    Yea, my momma had just turned 18 when she got married. her and my dad have been married 32 years now =)

    I probably wont be married till im like 20 something. <br>Tiff isnt allowed to have a boyfriend till she 16.<br>If there is any chance of me getting a boyfriend around 16 i wont get married till im 20ish.<br>I dont want to rush things.<br><br>Heck my mom and her boyfriend (i call him step dad ) because they have been together 8 years.<br>They want to have a dream wedding so they have been saving money xD

    <br><br>oh wow lol i wasn't allowed to have a boyfriend till i was 16 either but my parents caved with this really sweet (at the time) boy named Corey when i was 14. he turned into a major jerk though, a few boyfriends here and there, and now I'm with Joey =D I'm the only reason Joey hasn't quit his job to find a new one yet... =(

    Congrats!<br>Me and my boyfriend wanted to get married December 27th but our parents aren't as chill as yours and he's going off to college so we are holding off until possibly next year. :|

    <br><br>Yea Joey goes off to college in August but its only 30 minutes from my house and he is coming home every weekend =) Plus we are gonna attend the same college.. I turn 18 shortly and I'm gonna move out and move closer to the college with some of my friends.
