I has a mousie!

Yep, I bought a lil mousie yesterday ^^ At first I was worried that the tail would freak me out but it's really not that bad (I know I'm a wimp).
Her name's Panda and she's a fancy mouse. $7 at Petsmart O.O a friend said they used to cost only $2.50 7 years ago! Rip o~~ff but anyway she's worth it :]
Anyone else have any experience with mice? o.o

Pictures -

<img src="http://i581.photobucket.com/albums/ss255/dustyvinci/100_0980.jpg"; alt="http://i581.photobucket.com/albums/ss255/dustyvinci/100_0980.jpg"; class="bb-image" />

<img src="http://i581.photobucket.com/albums/ss255/dustyvinci/100_0942.jpg"; alt="http://i581.photobucket.com/albums/ss255/dustyvinci/100_0942.jpg"; class="bb-image" />

<img src="http://i581.photobucket.com/albums/ss255/dustyvinci/100_0959.jpg"; alt="http://i581.photobucket.com/albums/ss255/dustyvinci/100_0959.jpg"; class="bb-image" />

P.S. Is that cage and stuff okay for a mouse? I've only ever owned dogs, cats, rabbits and guinea pigs so... I have zero experience with tiny micies o.o

 • I owned fancy mice. I really love them, even more than rats. I wish I could get more, but due to college my schedule wouldn't really permit any extra animals. I still have all my cages and what not, so one day I'll own some again.
These were all of mine that were pets(I had feeders for awhile):<a href="http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r26/PrinceSushi/Pets/Mice.png"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r26/PrinceSushi/Pets/Mice.png

; Is that her cage in the last picture? I'd suggest getting something for her to sleep in. Mice can get super nervous when they have no where to hide. You can make one out of a small box or something, or you can buy one. Old toilet paper, or paper towels rolls work really well when your on a budget, but if you got a chewer/shredder they don't last long.

You can find a lot of information from the AFRMA's website: <a href="http://www.afrma.org/"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">http://www.afrma.org/
; The RMCA also has a lot of good info: <a href="http://www.rmca.org/"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">http://www.rmca.org/

; I believe both Avla and NotaMallard currently own mice.

Good luck with your new girl~ Mice can actually be really fun, and entertaining.

 • Yes, I do own 2 females. :D

Mine where $7 a piece to. -_________-
But, they are so worth it. :DD
I would say the cage is fine, but like Sushi said - something to hide in.
My girls love to sleep in tissue rolls and play with them, you can make hides out of small boxes too - I change it out every few weeks because they chew on it and poop on it.

I have this cage: <a href="http://pet.imageg.net/graphics/product_images/pPETS-3763833dt.jpg"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">http://pet.imageg.net/graphics/product_ ... 3833dt.jpg

They use to sell it at Petsmart but I haven't seen it online.
But, it comes with food, bedding, water bottle, wheel, tunnel, cage, etc.
And it's only like $25.
The bedding you have probably isn't the best, I would say use carefresh.
Anything else you can PM me or whatever. :D
