• Hormones cause acne.
 • People have probably said this before, but I recommend going to an OBGYN or your doctor and getting birth control :) I'm on it for acne, and it has helped me TREMENDOUSLY! Seriously, best thing ever.

I also use cephlex (sp?) which I got from the dermatologist. It has helped me too, but I have seen that the birth control is more helpful, so this is just a little side to help get rid of acne faster, and keep it under control even more.

Then I have lotions that I have gotten from the dermatologist, lots of them. They help me soo much.

And the last thing I use, is regular, good ole' rubbing alcohol. :) I just put it on a little cotton ball and wipe my face with it twice a day. It is one of the best cleansers I have ever had. xP

Anyways, good luck with handling your acne. I know how you feel, I have had really, really, really, HORRIBLE acne since 6th grade >.< it sucks.

 • Are they cheap?

 • depends on what kind you get and what kind of insurance you have. you can usually get generic brands of whatever your doctor prescribes and they're cheaper, that's what we did. you can also get it from planned parenthood for cheap with insurance, but the initial visit is expensive there.

 • Maybe Clean and Clear? That always worked for me..

And BC pills work great(: I still get the random stress break outs, or if I get too hot and don't take the time to clean my face, I'll clog up. But its mostly just stress. But it works.
birth control works by regulating hormones, if it is hormones or stress related, birth control can help.

 • Ponds Cold Cream Cleanser <3
it's the only thing I use on my face now, other than occasional masks.

I'm sure I read people mentioning using a bar of soap to clean your face?
I'd be careful with that, a lot of soaps can dry your skin out eventually, I found that out from showing and using soap, all my skin eventually dried out -.- it wasn't nice.

If you can find products with vitamin E added then try those and vitamin E helps to repair the skin, though keep in mind that about one third of people can react to vitamin E being applied to the skin so dont over do it!

If you find you are reacting to even the smallest amount of vitamin E on you skin then just eat plenty of wholegrain foods, spinach and other leafy green veg, eggs, nuts, avocado since they are all rich in vitamin E

Including the above foods in your diet it more beneficial in the long run than just using face products containing vitamin E because it will work thought out your whole body and not just on the face ^-^ if
Hope this helps!
