I have two holes in each ear, and my cartilage on my left. I also have my bellybutton pierced. I really want an industrial, but I want to make sure to find someone that really knows what they're doing before I get it done. I love piercings too. xD I may eventually get my nose done, but I don't know if my job allows it.</span>

In Cali you can get a tattoo with parental permission(I know a few minors who have got tattoos), but some shops are still cautious about doing it even with parental permission.<br><br> I personally would not get gauges, but I've wanted an industrial piercing(among various others) for awhile. My concerns are the same as yours; I want someone who knows what they are doing! However, my personal favorite piercings are the ones done on the clavicles/collar. Maybe one day. Right now I just have 5 piercings(3 on 1 side, 2 on the other).<br><br> True story though; in my freshman year, a boy had massive gauges. Problem is he did it too fast, and kept messing with them(fiddling with them and what not), so his lobe ripped. It was not a nice site to see him walking around with flesh hanging off like that...

Some places might do it because it makes them more money.. but I don't think it's legal. Also, I'm under 18, but my friend's uncle owns a shop, so he did it for me. <br><br>I love my gauges. But. I found a place here that does strictly piercings, no tattoos or anything else. Only body mods. So that's where I'll go probably, it's where we took my best friend to get her bellybutton done. Only thing is, it's 45 minutes away, and even though I offered to drive and pay for it, my mom is too lazy to go with me. ;] yays.</span>

I live down south, and yes you can get a tattoo at 16 with parental consent.<br>My friend went to go get her tattoo done and she was only 17 at the time, (this is in Alabama) and they said they needed parental consent. So instead she got her naval cross or industrial done. I don't remember lol.<br>Now she's 18 and I think she got the triforce tattoo.<br><br>EDIT: And the other day I saw this new invention for tattoo removal (actually it's been around for a while) but it's like a pad and it dissolves the tattoo to the top and then it eventually fades.
Was thinking of a rose down my side, and possibly angel wings. Not too big on tattoos, though. Hah. However, I am surprised to learn it is indeed illegal to get tattooed under 18 in Cali(I double checked in the 2010 Penal Code Handbook for California). So, I emailed my friend to ask how she got her tattoos when we were in middle school together, and she said her mother just had to sign for them. I guess the law either changed, or the shop did it without caring about the law. I guess all the other people I knew got them at a shop that didn't care, had them done privately, or went out of state.

I think I might have one friend who doesnt have a tattoo, and they are all under 18. Its just a matter of who you know. Most people go to relatives that own tattoo shops and they will do it for them despite the age, or they find someone working from their house to do it. I personally wouldnt do that since Ive seen some very crappy tattoos that people got because the person doing them had no idea what they were doing. But either way, im waiting till Im eighteen. Only a year and a half to go...</span>

Agreed lol i think i flinched a little with my right ear.. but i think they did something wrong with that.. cuz ive had problems with my right ear ever since.
