Congrats :]

Your lucky she had them as quick as she did.
When my Cayla was giving birth to pups she had the first 6 pretty quick then about 3 hours later she had her 7th .
I got to see the 7th one be born cause that was when we got home from school :]

The second litter was a quick one.
I got to see all of them being born
I also got to help
I'm going to dock them. it's standard for a cocker, there's no reason not to. they'll cry for 10 minutes after, and it does hurt, but it's not long. They'll be okay.
yea... My mom used to raise dachshunds and she always cut their dew claws off and mom said that they are babies and that they dont feel very much because they dont know what it is yet.
yeah, I already talked to two vets about it, before she even got pregnant. they said the bones aren't formed and it's a lot easier on the dog than if they ended up getting their tails docked later on. I was more than willin to pay extra to get numbing for them, but both vets told me it's not necessary and that that the complications that could come out of it are not worth it.
My aunt and I breed Boston Terriers. It's standard to have boston's tails docked, and we've never had a complication while doing it. Most of them didn't cry for more than 2-3 minutes. I've been told it's about like pulling out a few strands of your own hair. Quick and not too painful.
If you sell the pups undocked, people have a tenancy to get them docked later, which can cause problems and pain the older the pup is.
Yup, I've heard the same thing. I'm not worried. I jus like the patchy one's tail. I'm still getting them docked though. I was never planning on not docking them.
You can send buffy the black one and not get it docked =P
Cockers do have pretty tails...

I have one boston that we never docked her tail and she looks extremely funny, but it's kinda cute.

I'll have to see if i can find pics =D
They are adorable!
My dad loves Cockers! I wanted and English Cocker when I was younger - I always thought they where gorgeous.

The pups won't be harmed in the docking of tails/cutting of dew claws. They dock the tails at the third joint? (Correct me if I am wrong) but it must be done within the first three days from my knowledge.
Some breeds NEED to have their tails docked because some tails are fragile and break easily and others get caught in brushes and what not -like pointers-
Yup. That's about how it is. I don't know the exact reason behind taking a cockers tail, I just know that it's standard. They'd look silly with a tail I think. I let Dega's fur grow but I always have to cut it on his stub of a tail because it's soo curly it looks absolutely stupid. And yeah, they're getting it done Monday so. 3-5 days actually :]

Cockers are gun dogs, most gun dogs have their tails docked due to getting caught in bushes and whatnot. (if you are using them as a gun dog)
Personally, I would love to have a cocker after my dad told me all the wonderful stories of Misty and Bo. Butttt, I like low maintenance dogs after owning a poodle for 13 years. XD
