Bad day turns good? funny?

I lost Prada today.
I was cleaning out her and Gucci's cage, put the cage back together and put them back in their normal place.
My boyfriend came and got me and we went to hang out at his house, came back later this evening to check on all my animals (feed, water, etc. them) and find her gone!!!
I'm freaking out and tearing up thinking the worse could happen to her all alone and defenseless, I set out humane live traps with some bait in there hoping I can catch her, I turn over my bed, pick up everything off the floor, look in closets, under the couch, TV, anywhere her little mouse self will fit into. And nothing, not to mention I had to leave for church, so I come back home an hour later, check the traps. Still no Prada. Check in my room all over again. Still no Prada. So I give up for tonight, I went to my room to check on Gucci just about 10 minutes ago when I suddenly heard scratching coming from my suitcase - I open it up and who do I find? Prada. -.- How she got out of her cage beats me. But how she got in that suitcase I will never know.
I love my mice. <3 XD

 • Oh, Sushi escaped when I initially got her, and I freaked! I sat up for hours with a flash light looking for her, and luckily I found her. It took me awhile to figure out how she got out. If your cage has a wheel that connects by sticking a part through the bars and then twisting it to lock on, it is most likely bending the bars just enough for her to get through. That's how Sushi got out. I fixed it by taping a paper to the back until she got bigger.

Other than that the bar spacing could be to big, or the cage door might not be shutting right. If the bar spacing is too big you will probably have to get another cage either temporarily(if they are still growing) or a new one completely. If the cage door isn't shutting securely, then it can normally be fixed by bending the clasp(if the cage had one).

I'm glad you found her, and it's quite hilarious that she was in your suitcase! Maybe she wanted to go on a trip? lol.
