• *grr* Reading is amazing cannot go a day without it.
 • lol its not neccisarly reading im venting about, more that we have to read books that are chosen for us. Instead of picking ones that fit are intrests.
 • Well yeah, if I don't pick them its going to be one long book.
 • I loved The Great Gatsby, but I hated things like To Kill a Mockingbird.
I love reading with a passion, but I know exactly what you are saying, because I used to say it too! I wish they gave options, or least let students pick their own books from time to time.

 • When I had time to read [lol, I'm on the computer now...], and I had a book that I haven't read already [all my books are read at least twice ): ], I would read a book a day. My parents are pissed because they spend money on books I read in a day. D<

 • I love reading. I always have to have new books that I get from a store- not from a library.

We also are reading The Great Gatsby.. I don't really like it xD. Im not lost or anything but I don't find it interesting in the least. We are on chapter 8 so yay, it's almost over. :D
I randomly came across that book through the school's library when I was in elementary school. It's been one of those books I'll never forget. Instant fav. I never knew there was a movie for it. I'll have to check it out.

The books I did enjoy in school(the ones we were forced to read) were Fahrenheit 451, The Giver, and Of Mice and Men....and possibly a few others. I probably wouldn't have picked up any of them, had they not been assigned.

 • Dude I totally get where you're coming from. When I read my eyes get restless and like skip words.. nystagmus!.. even though I WISH I could read.I always hated the books I read in school. Some of them even made me nauseous. The select few I specifically remember were Lord of the Flies, The Chrysalids, and Brave New World. Don't ever read them.. unless of course you have to for school. Gross.. gross.. grosssssssssssss. Maybe school actually ruined reading for me.
