ok i go on a dog forum thing called United Dogs, its a place where you can put pics of your dog and descriptions about it etc.<br><br>ANYWAYS..<br>there is a cool game thing on there called Guess the Breed<br>Rules:<br>Only One guess each per round.<br>No pictures are to be used opnly descriptions<br>Have FUN!<br><br>when someone guesses correctly that person can then go and post info about a breed for others to guess. if not i will post another :)<br><br>ok lets play<br><br>Breed description:<br>Dogs of this breed were assistants to the hunt, chasing wild game into nets for their masters. The Azande and Mangbetu people from the northeastern Congo region describe these dogs as the "dogs of the savages", or "dogs of the villagers". In the Congo, this breed is also known as "dog of the bush." The dogs are also known to the Azande of southern Sudan as Ango Angari. In Kiswahili, another Bantu Language, from East Africa, 'mbwa shenzi' translates to “wild dogâ€

    <span style="text-decoration:underline"><span style="font-weight:bold">GUESS THE DOG</span></span>!<br><br>A short-legged, elongated dog breed, of the hound family. The standard size was developed to scent, chase, and flush badgers and other burrow-dwelling animals, while the miniature was developed to hunt smaller prey, like rabbits. In the American West, they have also been used to hunt prairie dogs<br>The name is of German origin and literally means "badger dog",long-bodied and muscular, with short and stubby legs. Its paws are unusually large and paddle-shaped, for efficient digging. It has skin that is loose enough not to tear while tunnelling in tight burrows to chase prey. It has a deep chest to allow enough lung capacity to keep going when hunting. Its snout is long with an increased nose area that absorbs odours.[7]There are three types, classified by their coats: short-haired, called "smooth"; long-haired; and wire-haired.<br>Recent discoveries by the American University in Cairo of mummified dogs from ancient Egyptian burial urns may lend credibility to this theory. In its modern incarnation, the dog is a creation of German breeders and includes elements of German, French, and English hounds and terriers. These dogs have been kept by royal courts all over Europe, including that of Queen Victoria, who was particularly enamored of the breed.[44] They were originally bred for hunting badgers by trailing by scent.

    This breed is descended from droving and gathering breeds originating on the Scottish - English and Welsh - English borders. Many of the best specimens of this breed today can be traced back to a dog known as Old Hemp. Old Hemp, a tri-colour dog, was born September 1893 and died May 1901. He was bred by Adam Telfer from Roy, a black and tan dog, and Meg, a black-coated, strong-eyed dog. Hemp was a quiet, powerful dog and many shepherds used him for stud.

They originate from Germany and were known as "Rottweil Butcher's Dogs" because they were used to herd livestock as well as pull carts laden with butchered meat and other products to market. Some records indicate that earlier Rottweilers may have also been used for hunting although the modern Rottweiler has a relatively low hunting instinct. It is a hearty and very intelligent breed.<br><br>I feel like this one is obvious. ;p</span>
