For those of you who don't read my dA journal or don't talk to me on a consistant basis, you probley don't know how easily I get sick. I'm sick all the time, and it's annoying. Sure, at first I was all "YEAAH, No school!!" but if I'm sick for an extended period of time, my teachers yell at me when I get back. When I ask for help, I usally get "Well, if you were here you wouldn't miss 45 minutes of instruction time!" I told my mom that and she was about to go down to the school and take down some teachers. I don't pretend to be sick to avoid things, I just get sick. I need to eat more oranges or something.<br><br>Right now, I have infectious Mononucleosis (commonly known as mono). Which is called a "kissing disease" BUT, I did not get it from kissing. It can be passed by sneezing, coughing, sharing drinks and basically any ways you could catch a normal cold. I have all the symtoms which include fevers, exhaustion, sore throat, swollen glands (the area behind your jaw connecting your jaw to your neck area), and reddened throat and tonsils. So basically, it all around sucks. Your always sleepy and never want to eat anything. I've been out all week so far, and more than likely I'll be out the rest of the week (which is just thursday because it's good friday, this friday).<br><br>I'm so sick of being sick! If I ever died from sickness, I would will all my gifties and money out to people. xD <span style="font-size:75">I hope no one tries to kill me for my fortune...</span> All I have to say is, when I go back to school I better not get yelled at by my obnocious control freak teachers.

And I sorta know how you feel because I get sick often as well and all my teachers used to give me a hard time =/ Maybe you should try to get your mom or doctor to explain to them so they'll be more understanding, or you could always try homeschooling if your parents let you.</span>

    <br><br>Thank you very much. I wish I were home schooled, there are so many ways to to go about it now a days. I should get a doctors note or something, Teachers don't understand. Yeah, sure school is important, but not devloping a heart disease is alittle more important (if I don't sleep alot while I'll have mono, that will happen). Teachers in my district just happen to be jerks. xD

    I understand--I used to get sick all the time, but my teachers were a little tolerating of me, overall. I had mono too, several years ago (also not contracted by kissing xD). It seriously sucked. I was so tired I couldn't get off the couch and everyone seemed to get mad at me for not doing anything. And I missed two weeks of school >.< I agree with Starlight, get a doctor's excuse, that way they know you're not just trying to skip. Maybe then they will be more understanding, it's not your fault you're prone to illness. I'm sorry you've been having these problems, and I hope you start feeling better soon!!

    In 7th grade I had meningitis(which has similar symptoms to mono. They actually thought I had mono at first). I was gone 2 weeks, in and out of the hospital almost everyday for a week. When I returned my teachers pulled the same thing!! It's insulting! I'm not a bad student, and I never have been a bad student, so why should I be treated like that!? I can see why your mom was mad; I would be!<br><br> I've never had mono, but if it is indeed like meningitis I hope you get better asap!
