Everyone I Know Has A...

HORSE! Not an ipod, dog, or some popular toy. A horse. I don't even live in a rural area, Don't get me wrong, In Illinois if I were to travel a few miles south you'd be in southern talk'n, home farm'n southy-south land. But I live in a modern sub-urban area. One of my friends shows, rides, and owns horses. Even you! My VP friends! Lots of you own horses!

I find that funny, because it's so unusal. I've never seen a real horse, up close. I was driving to a beach in southern IL, and I saw some horse off in the far distance. I've seen a pony before, at a circus I saw a pony. Horses intreast me because I can't read them. I can easily understand what a dog or cat is thinking, even parrots and birds. I can tell what they are thinking. But not horses, they just have blank eyes and big teeth. I'm sure people who've been around horses can tell what their facial expressions are. xD

I'm a cat person, alot of my friends are...horse people. xDD

 • horses are body language animals... you watch them to know what theyre thinkin XD like my gelding Blaze... if he's not watching you... he's pretending like he ISNT about to bite you... if he paws the ground he is gettin impatient ect ect
 • pssh, I love interpretting horses! XD
I think they're almost as easy as dogs are as soon as you've been with them a few hours/days/weeks, depending on the horse. Dude and Tunie are the easiest horses to interpret that i've ever met haha. Tunie's sumb and just blatent about it..but Dude attempts to be sneaky, but he's not XD
I do find horses more fun with dogs though..I know I can train a dog really good, but horses challenge me with more than a dog does. :3
and pssh, they show expression with their eyes..it's mainly with the eyebrow part, but there's still that something in their eyes when they care about you or want you dead XD (I only know the latter because that's how Dude use to look at me, he's a little more accepting now since I hasn't been the one working him though haha)

 • xD true dat. Its just kinda that dogs want to please more than horses do... horses are more content to get fat and lazy and dogs thrive off of attention
 • XD completely agreed Vampy! rofl
that's one main reason I luffles working with horses, either you have the.."skill" to make them listen nicely, or they trust/care about you enough to please you, even if only slightly haha

 • The -one- thing I dont like about horses.. is when they tred on you  I got trodden on by an overweight cob a couple of weeks ago >.> It was just in the wrong place for my foot to break.. sadly.. (i could have gotten off sport for awhile, missed a lacross match ((in the pouring rain which no coach turned up to..)) and not had to have done house cross country) and I just had a purple painful foot >.> Ive been riding for eight years next month.. and still dont actually have a horse/pony.. they just cost to darn much xD Although I might be able to ride the one that trod on me.. If I do mucking out and stuff  I know quite a few people with horses.. my old best friend did, and I used to ride hers alot.. untill she moved away.. Hers had funny personalities.. She had a polo pony, that used to eat maltesers and fudge, a small welsh pony that got drunk once (one of her sisters friends had a bottle of alchol, and he took it, and drunk it  ) and an EVIL shetland.. Literally evil. I was playing with his football in the sandschool, he turned.. looked at me as if to say 'WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!' then just charged at me with his teeth bared.. so I ran out and he stuck his head under the fence trying to bite me xD

Nahh. They've got good eye expressions. You just gotta get used to them. I live about half a mile to a mile from a horse stable, so I can walk up there, or ride my bike up there and visit. I don't like the people too very much, but I enjoy being around horses.

I've always been more of a cat person, though. I agree with you, Chibers. I love cats. xD

And Woodpecker: I got stepped on by a horse D< I was like... "Uh. Larry...Get the HELL off my foot..." -pushes on chest- *phew* "Okay, that's better ;D"
